    Abstract: Provided is a heat-sensitive layer for a lithium ion secondary battery that can efficiently block rising temperature during abnormal heating by increasing battery internal resistance and thereby reducing current. The heat-sensitive layer for a lithium ion secondary battery is formed from a heat-sensitive layer composition containing particles in each of which a second component is substantially partially disposed at the outside of a particle formed from a first component. The heat-sensitive layer composition has a storage modulus at 60° C. of 10 kPa or more and a storage modulus at 150° C. of 1 kPa or less.

    Abstract: An electrode for an electrochemical device having excellent flexibility includes an electrode mixed material layer that contains an electrode active material, a conductive material, and a binder. The conductive material includes a fibrous conductive material. The proportional content of the fibrous conductive material in the electrode mixed material layer is not less than 0.3 mass % and not more than 1.5 mass %. The binder includes a polymer A that includes a nitrile group-containing monomer unit and an alkylene structural unit and that has a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100° C.) of not less than 70 and not more than 150. The polymer A is contained in the electrode mixed material layer in a proportion of not less than 50 parts by mass and not more than 200 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the fibrous conductive material.
