    摘要: The present invention discloses a frequency offset detecting apparatus and method for use in a digital coherent optical receiver. The digital coherent optical receiver comprises: a front-end processing section for generating a digital baseband electric signal; an equalizer for performing equalized filtering on the digital baseband electric signal; and the frequency offset detecting apparatus for detecting frequency offset contained in the digital baseband electric signal or frequency offset contained in a signal outputted by the equalizer; wherein the frequency offset detecting apparatus comprises an argument difference obtaining unit, a first subtracter, a second subtracter, a quantizer and an averager, of which the argument difference obtaining unit obtains an argument difference of adjacent symbols in a signal inputted therein; the first subtracter subtracts an output of the averager from the argument difference obtained by the argument difference obtaining unit; the quantizer performs uniform quantization with predetermined intervals on an output of the first subtracter; the second subtracter subtracts an output of the quantizer from the argument difference obtained by the argument difference obtaining unit; and the averager averages an output of the second subtracter.

    摘要: The present invention provides apparatus for self-phase modulation noise calculation, apparatus for self-phase modulation noise elimination and optical coherent receiver. The apparatus for calculation comprises: a signal receiver to receive an input signal; a calculator connected to the signal receiver to calculate a self-phase modulation noise at the current instant by using the signal powers of an input signal waveform at the current instant and at several sampling instants adjacent to the current instant. The embodiments of the present invention calculates the self-phase modulation noise at a certain instant by using the signal powers at a plurality of digital sampling periods before and after this instant, and when the apparatus is used to calculate the self-phase modulation noise of each of the sub-spans in an optical fiber transmission link, in case that the calculation precision is ensured, the granularity of the sub-spans may be reduced, thereby lowering the complexity of the calculation.

    摘要: The embodiments provide a multi-stage phase estimation method and apparatus. The apparatus i a multi-stage phase estimation configuration. Each stage of the phase estimation configuration includes metric computation modules. Each of the metric computation modules computing a distance metric and search phase angles according to an input signal and an initial search phase angle or a search phase angle of the former stage phase estimation configuration. The number of the metric computation modules is equal to that of the search phase angles of this stage. A selection module selects the search phase angle corresponding to the minimal distance metric as the phase estimation result output of this stage according to the computation results of all metric computation modules. The average time window length of the former stage phase estimation configuration is larger than that of the subsequent stage phase estimation configuration.
