摘要: A water heater includes a tank defining an interior space adapted to contain water and a shroud over the water heater and defining a component space inside the shroud. A first pipe nipple is coupled to a spud of the water heater, the first pipe nipple and spud defining a non-collinear axis that is non-collinear with a pipe axis of a pipe to be fluidly connected to the tank. A flexible connector is connected at one end to the first pipe nipple along the non-collinear axis. A second end of the flexible connector is positioned collinear with the pipe axis. A second pipe nipple is coupled at one end to the second end of the flexible connector and coupled at an opposite end with the pipe. Fluid communication is established between the pipe and the interior space of the tank through the pipe nipple and flexible connector.

摘要: A fluid heating system including a burner unit is operated based on feedback control loops. The fluid heating system comprises a burner unit configured to heat a fluid, a sensor configured to sense a characteristic of the appliance, and a controller coupled to the burner unit and the sensor. The controller includes an electronic processor and a memory. The controller is configured to receive a first signal corresponding to the characteristic from the sensor, determine, based on the first signal, a first feedback loop control, control combustion of the burner unit based on the first feedback loop control, determine, based on the first feedback loop control, a second feedback loop control, and control combustion of the burner unit based on the second feedback loop control.

摘要: A water heater includes an inner water tube coil and an outer water tube coil separated by a drum baffle. The inner and outer coils extend above a top edge of the drum baffle by at least a full turn of each coil. A flue gas bypass path is defined between a top edge of the drum baffle and a top insulation layer above the inner and outer coils. Flue gases flow radially though the inner coil, up along the drum baffle, through the flue gas bypass path, and downwardly over the outer coil to heat water flowing through the inner and outer coils. The water flows into the outer coil at the bottom of the coil, winds upwardly through the outer coil in countercurrent flow with respect to the flue gases, then down through the inner coil.

摘要: A water purification system includes a tank which stores permeate during periods of standby during which impurities can migrate across a filtration membrane, resulting in impure water on the downstream side of the membrane. During an initial portion of a water draw immediately following a period of standby, the impure water on the downstream side of the membrane is used as a motive fluid to force the permeate out of the tank for delivery to the faucet. Permeate is provided on a continuous bases directly from the membrane to the faucet after the tank is depleted of permeate. The system includes a control system and a plurality of valves to recycle the impure water used as a motive fluid to the membrane to produce permeate. At the conclusion of a water draw, the tank is filled with permeate and the system enters a period of standby until the next water draw.

摘要: The present disclosure discloses an ignition temperature control apparatus of a gas water heater, comprising: a heat exchanger made of stainless steel; a combustion device which supplies high-temperature flue gas to the heat exchanger; a water passage communicated with the heat exchanger; a first temperature detection device provided on the heat exchanger or on the water passage; a controller, wherein if a temperature detected by the first temperature detection device is lower than or equal to a first preset temperature or a rate of decline of a temperature detected by the first temperature detection device is higher than or equal to a first preset value the controller controls the combustion device to operate in such a state that a requirement for thermal bearing capacity of the heat exchanger made of stainless steel is satisfied. The heat exchanger of the ignition temperature control apparatus of the gas water heater of the present disclosure, which is made of stainless steel, has good thermal inertia and excellent thermal insulation properties, and thus the combustion device is started for heating when the ignition temperature control apparatus of the gas water heater is in a stop state, such that it is possible to ensure that the heat exchanger will not fail while an anti-freezing effect can be achieved.

摘要: System and methods of operating a water heater receiving power from an electrical grid. The water heater includes a heating element, a controller, and a first control circuit. The first control circuit including an energizing terminal and a microprocessor. The method includes connecting an energizing terminal of the first control circuit between a power output terminal of the controller and the heating element, receiving driving power from the controller based on a temperature signal. The method also includes receiving control signals from the controller based on electrical grid information, and selectively energizing the heating element, by the microprocessor of the first control circuit and through the energizing terminal of the first control circuit based on the control signals.

The first controller is configured to receive the first threshold value from the second controller and control the one or more heating elements based on the received threshold value, and to control the one or more heating elements mounted on the water heating system in a physical absence of the second controller.
