摘要： According to certain exemplary embodiments, an inspection tool and method for inspecting a perforating gun segment includes, among other things, placing a perforating gun segment in a perforating gun segment holder between a male connecting portion and a female connecting portion, wherein each of the male connecting portion and female connecting portion includes one or more electrical contacts and distance sensors. A piston may push the male connecting portion against an internal gun assembly of the perforating gun segment such that the internal gun assembly is pushed to a desired location within the perforating gun segment, as measured by the distance sensors, and into electrical contact with the male and female connecting portions such that electrical properties of the perforating gun segment may be measured.

摘要： A perforation gun includes an external gun barrel in the interior of which perforators are located which can be ignited via a fuse extending through the gun barrel and which, after ignition, pierce the gun barrel with perforation holes. A sliding tube or a swellable two-component foam is provided which automatically closes the perforation holes. The swellable two-component foam can be provided in a cartridge located inside the gun barrel and can be broken up by the ignited fuse, thereby allowing foam to escape from the cartridges, allowing it to swell and obliterate the perforation holes. The sliding tube can be displaced after perforation by an adjusting device by at least the diameter of the perforation hole, the sliding tube being located coaxially between the perforators and the gun barrel.

摘要： A positioning device includes a shaped charge holder. A single shaped charge receptacle formed in the shaped charge holder is configured to arrange a single shaped charge in a desired orientation. The shaped charges are detonated by detonating cord in energetic communication with a detonator, in response to an initiation signal. The initiation signal may be electronically communicated from a first perforating gun module to a second perforating gun module without the use of a through-wire. The positioning device may be secured in a perforating gun module, with vertical and horizontal movement of the positioning device being inhibited in the perforating gun module.
