    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for aeration in a filter system. The present invention provides an air injection adaptor for coupling between a filter tank and a valve controller. The air injector adaptor includes an unfiltered water inlet adapted for coupling to the unfiltered water outlet of the valve controller; an unfiltered water outlet in fluid communication with the unfiltered water inlet of the adaptor, the adaptor unfiltered water outlet adapted for coupling to the opening at the upper end of the tank; a filtered water inlet adapted for coupling to the upper end of the stand pipe; a filtered water outlet in communication with the filtered water inlet of the adaptor, the adaptor filtered water outlet adapted for coupling to the filtered water inlet of the control valve; an air source inlet adapted for coupling to a regulated air source; an air source outlet in communication with the air source inlet and adapted for opening into the upper end of the tank; and a vent, the vent having a vent inlet and a vent outlet in communication with the vent inlet, the vent inlet opening into the upper end of the tank.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a valve rotor with a wear-resistant, low-friction surface, wherein a disk having angled edges and a shape which correspond with the surface of the rotor is formed from a sheet of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The disk is placed at the bottom of a mold cavity, and a plastic material is injected in the mold. The plastic fills the mold cavity surrounding and covering the angled edges of the disk. Once hardened, the plastic is locked together with the angled edges of the PTFE disk. In a preferred embodiment, a method of manufacturing a water treatment valve rotor with a PTFE rotating surface is shown.

    摘要: The solenoid plunger normally closes the center vent hole in the diaphragm so inlet pressure is applied through the bleed hole to the space above the diaphragm resulting in enough pressure to close the diaphragm on the valve seat. When the solenoid is actuated, the plunger is lifted, allowing water to flow through the vent faster than it can flow through the bleed hole. This lowers the pressure above the diaphragm so inlet pressure can move the diaphragm from the seat and full flow can take place. The bleed hole is quite small. To prevent entrained particles from reaching and plugging the bleed hole, an arcuate groove having a width less than the bleed hole diameter is molded into the diaphragm to trap particles in the groove and prevent the particles from reaching and closing the bleed hole.

The preliminary screen provides added protection by reducing the chance of larger particles from entering the various valves and screens.
