摘要: Systems and methods to enhance the removal of inorganic contaminants, including metals, from hydrocarbon feedstocks at a refinery. One or more embodiments of such systems and methods may be used to provide a renewable hydrocarbon feedstock having a reduced amount of metal contaminants. The reduction of metal contaminants in the renewable hydrocarbon feedstock mitigates catalyst fouling and/or deactivation during downstream refinery processing of the renewable hydrocarbon feedstock.

摘要: This invention relates to a process for treating acid mine drainage (AMD). The process includes the steps of adjusting the pH of the AMD to be in the range of 3 to 5; adding maghemite nanoparticles to form a slurry; and a) aerating the slurry obtained in step 3), or b) simultaneously heating and mixing the slurry obtained in step 3). Thereafter maghemite nanoparticles loaded with one or more metals and sulphate and precipitated metals is separated from the slurry.

摘要: At least one method and system for pre-treating wastewater is described. The method generally involves providing high strength wastewater and waste activated sludge from a wastewater treatment plant to a first reactor, forming a mixed liquor therefrom, aerating the mixed liquor, allowing the aerated mixed liquor to settle to form a clarified supernatant and a biomass, and providing the clarified supernatant to a liquid treatment train of the wastewater treatment plant. After allowing the mixed liquor to settle into the clarified supernatant and the biomass, the biomass may be provided to a second reactor, aerated, and provided to a solid treatment train of a wastewater treatment plant. The system generally includes a first reactor, a second reactor and optionally, a mechanical sludge thickening apparatus that are coupled to a high strength wastewater source and a wastewater treatment plant having a liquid treatment train and a solid treatment train.

The filter material may comprise at least one of paraffin, cadmium, and bismuth. The filter compartment can also have a second filter material adapted for removing at least one of chloride ions and transmuted chlorine ions from the water. The second filter material may comprise at least one of coconut carbon, silicon dioxide, and ionized sand. The system can further include a container downstream of the filter compartment, the container having paraffin therein. Additionally, the system can include an absorptive manifold designed for absorbing hydrogen ions and reducing the pH of the water. 摘要: A method for continuous supply of peracetate oxidant solution with activity to generate to generate reactive oxygen species includes production processing in a liquid stream starting with a feed water and sequentially adding alkali concentrate, hydrogen peroxide solution and acetyl donor and introducing a resulting peracetate oxidant solution into a product buffer tank from which the peracetate oxidant solution is dispensed for use as a reactive oxygen species-generating oxidant, In the product buffer tank peracetate oxidant solution has a pH in a range of from pH 10 to pH 12, a molar ratio of peracetate anions to peracid in a range of from 60:1 to 6000:1 and a molar ratio of peracetate anions to hydrogen peroxide of greater than 16:1.

摘要: A control valve system that allows treated water to return to the supply water may be used with a water treatment system that provides oxidant treatment to control oxidation and flow of water in accordance with various operating cycles. The control valve system causes treated water to flow from the outlet to the inlet of the control valve to provide treated water to an oxidant device to facilitate water treatment. The control valve system may also be configured to prevent untreated water from being directed to the oxidant device, for example, during a regeneration cycle of the water treatment system. The control valve system may further be used in a water treatment system that also provides an air charge.
