摘要:
A heel- or sole holder arranged at a sole or release plate of a ski binding, comprising a heel holddown guided in a guide means to be movable essentially parallel to the plane of the plate. The heel holddown can be rearwardly displaced out of an operating position which it has assumed under the action of spring force, against such spring force. The heel holddown possesses at one end a deflection or diverting surface which, in the operating position of the heel holddown, overlaps or extends over the ski boot-support surface of the sole or release plate and extends in the direction of the spring force towards the sole or release plate. The guide means is structured to slope or descend towards the sole or release plate in the direction of the spring force.Further, the sole or release plate equipped with such heel holder has the latter connected with the sole or release plate by means of anchoring elements, for instance anchoring pins, engaging into transverse bores of the plate and secured in the axial direction thereof.

An improved arrangement for holding the rear end of a sole plate on which is mounted a ski boot to the upper surface of a ski. A lock is provided for securing the rear end of the sole plate to the ski, which lock is nonmovable in the position of use of the sole plate and during occurrences of a safety release of the sole plate from engagement with the ski but, on the other hand, is manually movable against the force of a spring.

Safety ski binding including an intermediate plate and improved boot gripping means. A plate intermediate the boot and ski is mounted onto the ski by centrally positioned pivot means and held normally aligned with the ski by heel means which permits only limited swiveling movement of the plate with respect to the ski and only limited movement vertically of the plate away from the ski. Conventional toe engaging means are provided between the plate and the ski boot and said heel means also engage the heel of the ski boot, said means being arranged for releasing the ski boot from the plate upon movement of the plate a predetermined distance either vertically away from the ski or pivotally laterally of the ski. The ski boot is thus freed from said plate and said plate remains with the ski. After the ski boot is so freed from the ski the plate returns to its aligned position with respect to the ski and the apparatus is ready for re-engagement of the boot therewith.

A ski binding having a pivotal boot hold-down part engaging a ski boot sole. The pivotal hold-down part is biased into two separate positions on opposite sides of a dead-center position by a spring. One end of the spring has an operating member located at one end thereof and engages a guideway on the pivotal hold-down part. The housing for holding the spring and the operating member is supported on a pivot axis spaced from the pivot axis for the hold-down part. The position of engagement by the operating member with the guideway effects a defining of a dead-center position relative to the spaced pivot axes.

A low friction device for use between a ski boot sole and the upper surface of a ski to minimize friction upon the occurrence of a relative movement between the ski boot sole and the upper surface of the ski. A low friction material insert is secured to a mounting plate which is, in turn, secured to the upper surface of the ski. The low friction material projects above the upper surface of the mounting plate to effectively engage the bottom surface of the ski boot sole. The insert may be secured to the mounting plate in a number of ways but the important characteristic is that the structure by which the mounting plate is secured to the upper surface of the ski will effect a simultaneous securement of the insert to the mounting plate.

A ski boot wherein the toe portion and the heel portion of the ski boot sole which is essentially of a rigid or stiff construction are formed of elastically compressible material.

A releasable ski binding of the type incorporating a release plate anchored at the ski to be releasable to all sides, the release plate being retained at least at its one end by a springloaded locking element. The locking element is pivotably mounted about an axis extending transversely with respect to the lengthwise direction of the ski, and under the action of its spring, in the normal position of the release plate, bears upon a central section or region of a guide track. The guide track possesses to both sides of such central region step-like and/or continuously raised sections.

A ski binding part having a pair of symmetrically arranged sole holders which are pivotably supported on a base part. The sole holders comprise a pair of two arm levers pivotally supported on the base part. One arm of each of the two arm levers engages the sole of the boot and the other arm engages through a structural part a spring so that the two arm levers are resiliently urged into engagement with the sole of the boot.

The invention is applicable to a low friction device for mounting on a ski and permitting low friction sideward movement of a boot supported thereon. Such a device is provided with a base plate that is mounted on the ski and a stepping plate which supports the boot. The device has friction devices, such as a ball and cage structure interposed between said plates to permit low friction sideward movement of the stepping plate with respect to the base plate. A lever is pivotally mounted on the cage at a point intermediate its ends and has one end thereof pivotally engaging the base plate and the other end thereof pivotally engaging the stepping plate. Thus, as the stepping plate is caused to move sidewardly with respect to the base plate the presence of the lever insures that the ball carrying cage will also move sidewardly a predetermined portion of the distance so moved by the stepping plate. Normally such movement of the cage is one-half the movement of the stepping plate with respect to the base plate.

A ski boot wherein at both sides of the upper section bounding the sole there bear impact or abutment plates secured to the sole, which impact plates can be adjusted with regard to their spacing from one another.
