摘要： A structure for a use in either an anti-crossing device for skis or a ski brake. A torsion spring is utilized to urge a projection member to an upright position on the ski. In the anti-crossing device for skis, the resilient projection member will prevent movement of a ski to the crossed position in one direction while simultaneously permitting movement of the ski in the opposite direction by flexing the resilient projection downwardly onto the upper surface of the ski. In the ski brake environment, the ski boot effects a resilient flexing of the projection member down onto the upper surface of the ski when the ski boot is mounted between the ski bindings. The resilient projection member has extension members which project below the lower surface of the ski when the resilient projection member is in the upright position.

摘要： A ski binding having a heel hold-down member which releases the boot whenever an overload is applied thereto. An opening lever is mounted for pivotal movement about an axis secured to a pair of parallel upstanding bearing supporting members mounted to the upper surface of a ski. One arm of the operating lever extends rearwardly of the heel hold-down member and is longer than the other arm which extends generally toward the heel hold-down member. The long arm is connected to a strap and the short arm is operatively connected to a spring-loaded operating member for controlling the movement of the heel hold-down member during the releasing operation.

摘要： Safety ski binding. A safety ski binding is provided by providing a longitudinally aligned through opening in the sole of the ski boot substantially on the centerline thereof and positioning a rod reciprocably therein. Suitable attaching means are mounted on the ski adjacent the toe and heel positions of the ski boot. Resilient means normally hold said rod entirely or substantially within the boot sole but one end thereof, when moved against said resilience, projects from the boot sole and is detachably engageable with one of said fittings, such as the heel fitting. The other attachment, such as the toe attachment, when the boot is connected to the ski, is received into the other end of said toe opening to engage the adjacent end of said rod and urge it against said resilience to extend the first-mentioned end thereof as above described to enable it to engage the first-mentioned attachment. Various modifications of this arrangement are also suggested.

摘要： A holding mechanism for holding ski boots onto a ski. The holding mechanism is comprised of a longitudinally extending rod extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sole of a ski boot and has at least one crossbar thereon with conventional elements for engaging and holding the boot to the crossbar. The longitudinal rod is secured at one of its ends to a holding element secured to the ski. The holding element restricts the longitudinal movement of the rod while simultaneously permitting lateral movements thereof. The longitudinal rod serves to rigidify the sole of the ski boot thereby making it possible for the ski boot to be made of a flexible material to improve the walking characteristics thereof.

摘要： A front jaw for ski bindings having two pivotal levers engageable with the toe of a ski boot adjacent opposite sides thereof. The levers are pivotal at a point intermediate the ends thereof so that the levers each have a long arm portion which is engageable with the toe of the ski boot and a short arm portion which engages a spring control mechanism for regulating the pressure which is required in order to release the ski boot from the ski binding. The shorter arms are, more particularly, engaged with a longitudinally movable spring rod which is movable longitudinally of the ski depending upon the lateral force applied to the ends of the longer arm portion of the pivotal levers.

摘要： An improvement in a ski binding arrangement wherein a ski boot is secured to a sole plate which in turn is releasably secured to a ski. The ski boot is pivotally secured by a front support to the sole plate and the heel of the ski boot is releasably secured to the sole plate. The ski boot is comprised of two parts, an upper leg part which is pivotally secured about a horizontal axis relative to the lower boot part. The heel holding assembly serves to lock the upper part of the ski boot to the lower part of the ski boot when the skier is using the ski boot in a downhill skiing environment. A movement of the heel holding assembly to a non-use or cross-country skiing position will facilitate a relative movement between the upper leg portion of the ski boot and the lower boot part.

摘要： A safety ski binding having a sole holder pivotally secured to a base member. The sole holder is held in condition of use by a locking member, which locking member is engaged by a locking part. The locking part is urged into engagement with the locking member by a spring. The locking part is guided in a limited manner in a guideway provided on a support part, which support part is pivotally secured to the base. The support part carries both the spring and a shaft on which the release lever is pivotally secured. The locking member has a notch and a recess therein, the locking part being urged into engagement with the notch while the ski binding is in the condition of use and in the recess when the ski binding is in the position to receive the ski boot therein.

摘要： A ski binding having a pivotal boot hold-down part engaging a ski boot sole. The pivotal hold-down part is biased into two separate positions on opposite sides of a dead-center position by a spring. One end of the spring has an operating member located at one end thereof and engages a guideway on the pivotal hold-down part. The housing for holding the spring and the operating member is supported on a pivot axis spaced from the pivot axis for the hold-down part. The position of engagement by the operating member with the guideway effects a defining of a dead-center position relative to the spaced pivot axes.
