摘要: A rectangular shield excavating machine comprises a quadrangularly tubular shield body having a space for receiving an excavated matter at the front end, a rotor disposed in the space so as to be capable of being rotated onward and backward angularly around an axis extending in the direction orthogonal to a pair of facing exterior portions of the body, and excavating means disposed in the body, drive means for rotating onward and backward the rotor angularly around the axis, and for driving the excavating means. Large gravels contained in the excavated matter are crushed by being put between the rotor and a member defining the space with the rotationally reciprocating motion of the rotor.

摘要: A method for treating muddy water which comprises adding a first chemical containing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal oxide or hydroxide to muddy water to be treated, thereby rendering muddy water alkaline, adding a second chemical containing an anionic polymer coagulant to muddy water simultaneously with or after the addition of the chemical, further adding a third chemical containing a sulfate thereby rendering the muddy water weakly alkaline, and then adding a fourth chemical containing an anionic polymer coagulant to muddy water. As a result, large-sized and hard flocs are produced.

摘要: A pipe propelling device comprises two sets of jack assemblies spaced from each other and arranged in the direction of propelling the pipe in a vertical shaft having a reacting shaft wall so that the small diameter pipe such as water supply and drainage pipes, gas pipes and cable laying pipes can be propelled from the interior to the exterior of the vertical shaft by the extension of two sets of the jack assemblies. To reduce the dimension of the vertical shaft due to propel the pipe, eliminate the interposition of a strut in propelling the pipe and secure an operative space in the vertical shaft, the jack assemblies comprise a plurality of first stage jacks connected to the reacting shaft wall and at least one second stage jack, a cylinder of the second stage jack being connected to cylinders of the first stage jacks.

摘要: A conduit comprised of double-wall pipes A is laid in the ground by the pipe-jacking method. Each of double-wall pipes A comprises inner pipe 1 and outer pipe 2 and is provided with sheath pipe 4 between inner pipe 1 and outer pipe 2 and with check valve 7. Winch 11 is mounted in tunneling machine 6. Wire 12 wound on winch 11 is inserted into sheath pipe 4 and the forward end of wire 12 is sent to start vertical shaft C through sheath pipe 4, and connected with cleaning member 24, injecting member F, and supply pipe 14. Cleaning member 21, injecting member F, and supply pipe 14 are moved in sheath pipes 4 by driving winch 7. When injecting member F is opposed to check valve 7, packing means 19, 20 are inflated to be brought into contact with the inside of sheath pipe 4 by which injecting member F is fixed to sheath pipe 4. Lubricant or back-filling material is sent to a space between packing means in sheath pipe 3, and injected through check valve 7 into space 9 between the outside of outer pipe 2 and the ground.

摘要: When laying a conduit comprised of double-wall pipes A, each of which comprises inner pipe 1 and outer pipe 2, the smooth propulsion of double-wall pipes is possible by injecting lubricant into a space between the outside of double-wall pipes and the ground on a scheduled line along which conduit B to be laid is divided into section, each having a given length based upon the distance over which the effect of the lubricant can be maintained. Lubricant is injected from the double-wall pipes which is to be positioned at the heads in the respective sections 1 to n of supply pipes 3 which are provided between inner pipe 1 and outer pipe 2 of double-wall pipe A. Supply pipes of double-wall pipe A which has been propelled are connected with supply pipes of a new double-wall pipe, wherein the number of supply pipes connected with each other is determined for the respective sections. Lubricant is supplied from the upstream side and from the downstream side of the propelling direction to double-wall pipes. After conduit B has been laid, back-filling material as a filler is supplied to supply pipes 3 so that a space formed between the outside of double-wall pipes 23 and the ground is filled with filler. Sheath pipes 23 are provided between inner pipes 1 and outer pipes 2. After conduit B has been laid, back-filling material, as inside-filling material, is supplied to sheath pipes 23 so that a space between the outside of double-wall pipes and the ground is filled with inside-filling material.
