摘要: A pipe replacement system and cable guide frame are shown. Configurations are shown that include plurality of guide pulleys attached to the cable guide frame to define a curved path between a pipe to be replaced and a cable pulling system. Configurations are shown where a pipe breaking tool is pulled over the plurality of guide pulleys for ease of removal after a replacement operation. Configurations are also shown that include a stationary splitter adjacent to the cable pulling system to prevent jamming of the cable pulling system.

摘要: Pipe replacement devices, and systems are shown. Devices and systems may include jointed cutters and floating cutters to navigate difficult pipe replacement conditions. Devices and systems may also include replacement pipe with pre-installed supply hoses, such as lubricant supply and/or pneumatic supply hoses. Methods of pipe replacement are also described, including splitting old pipe and pulling in new pipe behind the equipment as splitting progresses.

摘要: The branch piece is for renovating a pipeline and has a main line pipe and at least one branch pipe connected with the main line pipe. The branch piece is elastic and has an inner sheathing, an outer sheathing and, at least on a part of the branch piece, a flexible reinforcement layer disposed between the inner sheathing and the outer sheathing. The branch piece regains its shape after compression.

摘要: A splitter system and methods are shown. Examples of splitter systems provide limited possibility of damage to adjacent utilities in the ground. Further, examples of splitter systems relax a shape memory of split pipe, which in turn reduces friction in a splitting operation. Configurations are further shown that provide lubrication to splitting operations in a number of locations along a splitter system. Configurations are also shown that provide electrical isolation to cutting blades.

摘要: An apparatus for replacing an existing pipe. The apparatus comprises a slitting apparatus towed by a wire rope. The apparatus has an elongate body having opposed first and second ends and a hollow region extending end-to-end. A pair of wings is supported on the body. Each wing has a recessed inner surface having a sharpened edge and an outer surface. The outer surface does not have an edge as sharp as the sharpened edge of the recessed inner surface. The sharpened edge slits the existing pipe and the outer surface is positioned to engage any adjacent pipes without causing damage to the adjacent pipe as the apparatus is towed. through the ground.

摘要: Equipment, process and techniques are shown for rehabilitating old underground pipelines, particularly asbestos pipelines, in which an old underground pipeline is replaced, as by drawing a bursting head through the old pipe to burst it and simultaneously pulling a new pipe through behind the bursting head. The invention has particular applicability to the rehabilitation of old asbestos pipelines in which the burst up debris must be contained or encapsulated in some manner. The macro-encapsulation materials shown form an in-situ layer of a temporarily fluid macro-encapsulating material which absorbs and immobilizes asbestos fibers and pipe fragments, the macro-encapsulating material being applied simultaneously as the pipe bursting operation proceeds.

摘要: A cable retention and release mechanism includes a cable gripping device including a cable passage. A cable extends through the cable passage. A cable gripping device collar is movably coupled around the cable gripping device. An outer cable gripping device surface is seated against a cable gripping device receiving inner surface preventing movement of the cable gripping device relative to the cable gripping device collar. The cable gripping device receiving inner surface clamps the cable gripping device on the cable and prevents sliding movement of the cable. A jack is movably coupled with the cable gripping device collar. In a first engaged position the jack is engaged against the cable gripping device proximal end. In a second engaged position the jack unseats the outer cable gripping device surface from the cable gripping device receiving inner surface and releases the clamping of the cable.

摘要: A method for pushing and pulling rod strings through the ground or an underground pipe. A grip assembly is supported on a stationary frame and moveable relative to the stationary frame. The grip assembly has a slip bowl tapering from a large opening to a small opening in a first direction, a plurality of slips, and an actuator. The actuator powers relative axial movement between the slip bowl and the slips. A positioning assembly carries the grip assembly and powers its reciprocating and straight-line movement to urge the grip assembly in either a first or second direction. The grip assembly will work when operated to push or pull the pipe, irrespective of the is direction of the slips.
