摘要: Described herein are embodiments for setting, managing, and monitoring connection policies for a plurality of network paths from a first endpoint to a second endpoint. In embodiments, a set of candidate addresses from a first endpoint and a set of candidate addresses from a second endpoint are received. Each candidate address of the first endpoint is paired with each candidate address of the second endpoint to create a plurality of candidate address pairs. Each candidate address pair has an associated network path. The network path is the route by which data flows to and from the various endpoints. Once all network paths between each candidate address pair have been determined, a connection policy is set for each network address pair and the associated network path.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that provide software transactional protection of managed pointers. A software transactional memory system interacts with and/or includes a compiler. At compile time, the compiler determines that there are one or more reference arguments in one or more code segments being compiled whose source cannot be recovered. The compiler executes a procedure to select one or more appropriate techniques or combinations thereof for communicating the sources of the referenced variables to the called code segments to ensure the referenced variables can be recovered when needed. Some examples of these techniques include a fattened by-ref technique, a static fattening technique, a dynamic ByRefInfo type technique, and others. One or more combinations of these techniques can be used as appropriate.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for improving output rendering in anti-aliased rendering scenarios. The system receives information regarding at least one visual element area which is important for symmetric appearance. The information can include at least one coordinate of a guideline that a client would like to be snapped towards a pixel grid. The system uses the information to perform a pixel snapping procedure to snap the points of visual element to a pixel grid to create an adjusted image. The adjusted image is rendered on a display device in an anti-aliased rendering scenario. APIs are provided for setting horizontal and vertical pixel snapping guidelines. The collections containing the snapping guidelines are accessed and used during the pixel snapping procedure.

摘要: Techniques and technologies are provided for predicting when remaining storage capacity of a memory component will be fully consumed. For example, the remaining storage capacity of the memory component can be determined and a rate of change of the storage capacity can be calculated. Using this information, a prediction or estimate can be made as to when the remaining storage capacity of the memory component will be fully consumed. The prediction or estimate can be based, for example, on a ratio of the remaining storage capacity to the rate of change of the storage capacity.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that enhance an ongoing cell phone communication. A separate computing device determines that a communication is in progress on a cell phone. Information is retrieved from a data store that is related to a party participating in the communication. The information is displayed on a display device of the separate computing device for at least a portion of time that the communication is in progress on the cell phone. Management options related to the communication are displayed on the display device of the separate computing device. The user can manage the communication on the cell phone from the separate computing device using the management options.

摘要: Techniques and technologies are provided which can provide other information to a browser that is relevant to particular information within a web page comprising content. These techniques and technologies can be implemented as part of a system which comprises a browser running on a computer, a first information source and possibly other information sources. The first information source transmits content to the browser responsive to a request from the browser. The browser or the first information source can determine, responsive to a trigger, relevant information associated with the particular information as a user reviews different portions of the information within the content. The relevant information changes dynamically as the user reviews the different portions of the information. Either the first information source or another information source can then dynamically provide the relevant information to the browser based on the particular information being reviewed by the user while the user continues to review the content.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that improve cursive handwriting recognition. Cursive handwriting input is received from a user. The system performs a hierarchical prototype search as part of a recognition operation. A same space search is performed against a mixed database that has both print and cursive samples. A same space search is also performed against a cursive database that has only cursive samples. The results of these two same space searches are merged into a combined alternate list. The combined alternate list is then used as a constraint for the dynamic time warp searches that are performed against the mixed and cursive databases, respectively. The results of the dynamic time warp searches are also merged into a final combined alternate list, and the combined alternate list is used to make a recognition decision regarding the user's handwritten input.

摘要: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for providing suggestion lists for phonetic input. The system receives user input in a source language from an input device. The input is a partial phonetic representation in the source language of a character desired by a user in a destination language. Based on the user's input, a suggestion list is generated that includes a set of key/character combinations that can be pressed/entered on an input device in the source language to achieve at least one resulting character in the destination language. The suggestion list is dynamically generated based upon a prior usage history of the user. The suggestion list is displayed to the user on a display. The user can customize various suggestion list display settings. Upon generating the suggestion list, the display settings are retrieved, and the suggestion list is formatted according to the display settings.

摘要: A data processing system implements detecting that a first user device associated with a first user has added a first sponsored content item to a host electronic document by adding a first reference to the first sponsored content item to the host electronic document. The first sponsored content item is stored separately in a memory of a cloud-based service from the host electronic document. The data processing system further implements determining that the first user has permission to share the first sponsored content item with other users of the cloud-based service, generating sponsor information to associate the sponsored content item with the host electronic document to permit users having access to the host electronic document to access the sponsored content item, and storing the sponsor information in a sponsored access datastore.

摘要: The disclosed technology is generally directed to multiscreen environments. In one example of the technology, a registry is maintained. The registry includes a plurality of context schemas. Each context schema in the plurality of context schemas includes a context schema input and a context schema output. Context data is received from a first application. The context data includes at least one of a context schema input that is associated with view augmentation in a multiscreen environment or a context schema output that is associated with view augmentation in a multiscreen environment. It is determined whether the context data is valid based, at least in part, on the registry. In response to determining that the context data is valid, the context data is forwarded to at least a second application. The second application is separate from the first application.
