摘要: A compression force magnifier including a vertical axis through a body and a proximal surface of the body sloped at a predetermined angle relative to the vertical axis. A flat distal surface of the body is disposed opposite the proximal surface. A bore is disposed through the body from the proximal surface through the distal surface. The body is connected to an arm having a connection opening configured to allow connection of the body to a bone plate. The connection opening has a connection axis spaced from the vertical axis.

摘要: A fracture fixation system includes a plate having a laterally extending bore passing therethrough and configured to receive a first wire when the plate is placed in contact with a bone. The plate has a recess for receiving and securing a first end of a first wire, and includes an entry hole and an exit hole to at opposite ends of a first bore to allow the first wire to pass through the plate. A screw is configured to capture said the wire in the first bore to maintain a desired tension on the first wire.

摘要: A bone cut guide includes a first portion having a first cut slot and having an aperture for receiving a wire to connect the first portion to a first bone. A second portion has a second cut slot and a second aperture for receiving a second wire to connect the second portion to a second bone. The first portion and the second portion are movably connected to each other to allow the first bone and the second bone to move relative to each other.

摘要: An orthopedic implant carrier system has a carrier with a front cover, a back cover, and a linking member pivotally connected to the front cover and the back cover, such that the front cover and back cover are opposably movable about the linking member, with respect to each other. At least one insert connector is connected to the carrier, with an insert releasably connectable to the at least one insert connector. The insert has a pocket, with a plurality of orthopedic implants organized by implant type, size, and length.

摘要: The present disclosure provides staples, and corresponding staple guides, for applying a compressive force between biological elements. The staples may include a bridge portion and a pair of tines extending from the bridge portion configured for implantation into biological elements. The tines may be spaced a first distance in a first state of the bridge portion. The bridge portion may be elastically deformable into a second state with the pair of tines spaced a second distance that is greater than the first distance and the tines pre-loaded to apply a compressive force therebetween. The guides may include a staple engagement portion operable to maintain the biased state of the staple, and/or a drill guide portion operable to facilitate the formation of apertures spaced the second distance in the biological elements.
