    Abstract: A medical fixation system for bone repair including: a first orthopedic plate attached one bone via an inferior surface and a superior surface having a first plurality of sternal plate engagement members; a second orthopedic plate attached to one bone via an inferior surface and a superior surface having a second plurality of sternal plate engagement members; and a third orthopedic plate that bridges the first and second orthopedic plates with a superior surface and an inferior surface having a plurality of bridging plate engagement members; wherein the plurality of bridging plate engagement members is complimentary and opposite to the first and second pluralities of sternal plate engagement members, such that upon contact between the plurality of bridging plate engagement members and the first and second pluralities of sternal plate engagement members, a secure coupling is formed between the first and second orthopedic plates and the third orthopedic plate.

    Abstract: An osteotomy implant device includes a housing defining a cavity and having a central plane extending therethrough. The housing includes a first bone engaging surface and a second bone engaging surface. The second bone engaging surface disposed on an opposing side of the central plane from the first bone engaging surface. The osteotomy implant device also includes a cutting member. The cutting member rotatable coupled to the housing. The cutting member rotatable about an axis between a first position and a second position. The cutting member entirely disposed within the cavity between the first bone engaging surface and the second bone engaging surface in the first position. A portion of the cutting member extends beyond at least the first bone engaging surface or the second bone engaging surface of the housing in the second position.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method of surgical repair utilizing a continuous compression staple for an orthopedic injury site having a long bone fracture defining a fracture boundary between a first bone fragment and a second bone fragment. The method can include the steps of aligning the fragments, applying a temporary compressive force to the aligned fragments, inserting a compression staple in a tensioned state into the first and second bone fragments such that it traverses the fracture boundary, releasing tension in the compression staple such that the staple exerts a continuous compressive force to the first and second bone fragments, and securing a neutralization implant to the long bone. The disclosure further includes kits and systems for performing the disclosed surgical methods.

    Abstract: The invention is a solution for osteosynthesis made with molded metal sheets joined vertically and horizontally, fitted to the shape and dimensions of the fractured bone to keep it immobile and united. For the orthosis, it depicts metal sheets joined with horizontal and vertical movements, molded to the form and dimensions of vertebrae and joints to keep them separated. The sheet metals have wavy shapes, channels and undulations that give consistency and structural strength to bending, tension, shear and bends for joints. It also describes the process for the osteosynthesis with metal sheets and 3D printing, where the surgeon wraps the osteosynthesis or molded orthosis around the bone, vertebrae or joint, fastening it with clamps that tighten and lock with a surgical instrument, without screws. The sheet metals have viewpoint holes to see through during surgery and subsequent control with Roentgen. The clamps are in channels, which have micro-points on the side contacting the bone.
