A composite material obtained by impregnating a fibrous filler to which a hydrocarbon-based resin is attached with a polymerizable composition containing a cycloolefin monomer and a metathesis polymerization catalyst is provided. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a composite material which has no impregnation unevenness and can give a composite material molded article having excellent strength.

The present invention relates to a method for producing a composite molded article having a flexural modulus at 150° C. of 25% or more of a flexural modulus at 23° C., including the steps of (1) placing glass fibers in a mold; (2) impregnating glass fibers with a polymerizable composition containing a cycloolefin monomer, a metathesis polymerization catalyst, a radical generator, and a compound represented by the general formula (I); (3) subjecting the above polymerizable composition with which the glass fibers are impregnated to a bulk polymerization to provide a composite molded article; and (4) demolding the composite molded article; and a composite molded article obtained by the above method. According to the method of the present invention, a composite molded article containing glass fibers, the composite molded article having excellent mechanical strength can be produced.

The present invention relates to a norbornene-based crosslinked polymer containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of dicyclopentadiene-based monomer units, tetracyclododecene-based monomer units, and tricyclopentadiene-based monomer units in an amount of 50% by mass or more, wherein the norbornene-based crosslinked polymer has a glass transition temperature of 240° C. or higher. Further, the present invention relates to a method for producing a norbornene-based crosslinked polymer as defined above, including step (1): heating a blend containing at least one member of the above monomer components, and a metathesis polymerization catalyst to a temperature lower than a deactivation temperature of the metathesis polymerization catalyst to carry out a primary curing; and step (2): heating a cured product obtained in the step (1) to a temperature equal to or higher than the deactivation temperature of the above metathesis polymerization catalyst to carry out a secondary curing.

The present invention provides: a reaction injection molding liquid mixture comprising a norbornene-based monomer, a metathesis polymerization catalyst that includes tungsten as a center metal, an activator, and an ether compound represented by a formula (1), wherein R1 to R4 are independently an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, the reaction injection molding liquid mixture comprising the activator and the ether compound in a molar ratio (ether compound/activator) of 0.7/1 to 30/1; a method for producing a reaction injection molded product comprising a reaction injection molding step that includes subjecting the reaction injection molding liquid mixture according to any one of claims 1 to 4 to bulk polymerization inside a mold; a reaction injection molded product obtained using the method for producing a reaction injection molded product. Consequently, the present invention provides: a reaction injection molding liquid mixture that makes it possible to obtain a reaction injection molded product that has an excellent surface (surface state) and exhibits excellent strength while preventing a situation in which the resin remains on the surface of the mold when the resin is removed from the mold, a method for producing a reaction injection molded product using the same, and a reaction injection molded product obtained using the method.
