    摘要: A method of identifying a plurality of slave processors using a master processor is provided which includes assigning a unique identification code to each of the plurality of slave processors, and transmitting an attention command from the master processor to the plurality of slave processors. The master processor then transmits a request for the slaves' unique identification code to the plurality of slave processors. The master processor then determines whether one of the plurality of slave processors unique identification code matches the classification characters. If there are no matches, a last added classification character is incremented by 1. If only one matches, the master processor identifies the one of the plurality of slave processors, and removes a last added classification character. Otherwise, if more than one matches, the master processor adds a new classification character, and sets a last added classification character to a minimum identification code character value.

    摘要: The present invention provides an improved insertion-type fluid flowmeter for measuring the flow rate of a fluid flowing through a conduit, wherein the flowmeter incorporates a strut-mounted rotor having just one or two blades such that it can rotate through a circular area of diameter substantially larger than the maximum dimension of an opening in the conduit wall through which the strut extends. This minimizes the size of the opening, which simplifies its sealing. In addition, the support and the strut are configured such that the strut is releasably secured to the support by a snap fit, to facilitate a convenient replacement of the strut and attached rotor as the need might arise. The flowmeter further incorporates a special set of ring-shaped spacers, to facilitate a convenient adjustment of the distance by which the strut projects into the conduit.

    摘要: An improved method for controllably positioning the plunger of a solenoid apparatus at a target position between its two extreme positions. The plunger is spring biased to a retracted position, and an electrical coil is intermittently pulsed to drive the plunger against the spring bias toward an extended position, such that the plunger oscillates about the target position. A precise, stable control of the plunger's oscillating motion about the target position is achieved by continuously measuring the plunger's actual position, in real time, based on a series of measurements of electrical current conducted through the electrical coil when it is being pulsed.

    摘要: A liquid conductivity measurement system is disclosed that accurately measures a liquid's conductivity over a range spanning at least several orders of magnitude using just a single sensor, but minimizing the adverse effects of capacitive and other non-linear factors on the conductivity measurement. The system includes a sensor having two spaced-apart electrodes immersed in the liquid and a drive signal source that applies to the sensor an ac electrical signal having a selected frequency and predetermined magnitude. A voltage detector monitors a sensor voltage signal across the sensor's two electrodes and produces a measurement of the liquid's conductivity. The drive signal source is configured to iteratively adjust the frequency of the ac electrical signal based on the sensor voltage signal, to optimize the liquid's conductivity measurement.
