摘要: A surgical saw blade has an upper surface and a lower surface, and includes a first end having right and left side edges, where the first end is configured to connect to an oscillating head of a powered saw. The saw blade also has a cutting end; and an elongated shank connecting the first end and the cutting end. The first end of the saw blade may be narrower than the shank, and a stopping surface may connect the first end to the elongated shank. The stopping surface is configured to engage the oscillating head of the powered saw, so as to ensure correct positioning of the saw blade relative to the oscillating head. The elongated shank of the saw blade may have an elongated hole through the shank, where the size and shape of the elongated hole are configured to optimize a resonant frequency and/or a dynamic stiffness of the saw blade. The cutting end of the saw blade may have a plurality of first teeth thereon, where each first tooth is mounted on a distal end of a tine. Each pair of adjacent tines is separated by a longitudinal slot, with a distal end of each longitudinal slot being bridged by a web connecting a corresponding pair of adjacent tines.

摘要: First and second images are displayed of anatomical structure segments with an attached fixator. Indications may be received of first image hinge locations of a plurality of hinges of the fixator in the first image. Projected second image hinge locations may be determined based at least in part on the first image hinge locations. Hinge candidates may be detected in the second image having shapes associated with the plurality of hinges. The hinges candidates may be detected by computer software using automated software-based image analysis techniques. Adjusted second image hinge locations may then be calculated based at least in part on the projected second image hinge locations and candidate second image hinge locations. The adjusted second image hinge locations may be used to determine physical locations of the fixator and anatomical structure segments in three-dimensional space, which may be used to determine manipulations to the fixator for deformity correction.

While the cover is coupled to the stopper, a grip portion of the stopper projects from the cover. While the bottom portion of the support element is coupled to the stopper, the length of the object remains visible.

The support element alone defines a first chamber containing the object, the support element also includes at least two parts that can be coupled and uncoupled relative to each other by inter-fitting with partial overlap, so as to form the first chamber containing the object. A stopper is coupled to the support element of the object by inter-fitting with partial overlap such that the support element presents a grip portion that projects from the stopper. A cover is coupled to the stopper by inter-fitting with partial overlap so as to cooperate with the stopper to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends, and while the cover is coupled to the stopper, a grip portion of the stopper projects from the cover.

摘要: An intervertebral spacer implant (80) is provided with a retention mechanism (86) to help alleviate expulsion and movement of the implant when placed in the spine while providing an implant that is easier to insert in the spine. In one embodiment the retention mechanism comprises a keel on at least one of the inferior or superior faces of the spacer implant preferably extending in an anterior-posterior direction. In another embodiment the implant comprises a spacer (84) and a plate (82), the plate comprising a supplemental or alternative retention mechanism. In one embodiment the retention mechanism comprises one or more holes (88) in the anterior end of the plate. In yet another embodiment, the retention mechanism comprises one or more blades that are in a first position when inserted and are preferably rotated to a second position that engages the superior and inferior vertebrae.
