    Abstract: An assembly tool (104) for positioning the rolling elements (150, 155) of a bearing assembly (100) during a preloading operation includes a roller seating actuator (400) configured to be removably coupled to a portion of the bearing assembly during the preloading operation, and a roller seating ring (420) movably coupled to the roller seating actuator. The roller seating ring includes a distal end (440) configured to engage an end of a rolling element of the bearing assembly. A biasing member (460) is positioned between the roller seating actuator and the roller seating ring and biases the roller seating ring away from roller seating actuator such that the distal end of the roller seating ring engages and presses the rolling element axially into engagement with a rib (145) of a race of the bearing assembly.

    Abstract: A refurbished rotor of a wound rotor machine. The refurbished rotor includes a plurality of windings assembled to the rotor core, each manufactured from two separate bars: a top coil and a bottom coil. The top coil is positioned in a rotor core slot at a position radially outward of a position of the bottom coil within another rotor core slot. Each top coil and each bottom coil has a flat rectangular cross-section. On a connection end of the rotor where rotor leads are attached, the top coil has a flat end positioned alongside and in alignment with a flat end of the bottom coil of an adjacent one of the plurality of windings. The top coil and the bottom coil have respective flat ends joined to each other on a non-connection end of the rotor opposite the connection end by a joint for establishing electrical continuity.

    Abstract: A rotor of a wound rotor motor/generator comprising a plurality of rotor windings including a line rotor coil and a star rotor coil.     Abstract: A roller bearing includes an inner race ring, an outer race ring, and a roller arranged between and in contact with the inner and outer rings. The bearing has a flange on the inner race ring at one axial end, and a flange on the outer race ring at an opposite axial end. At least one of the flanges, or an end of the roller, has a profile including a principal segment with a reference point C defining a contact location between the roller and the flange, the principal segment having a continuously changing radius of curvature, on both sides of reference point C, that decreases as a distance from the reference point C increases.

    Abstract: A system and method for determining a position and or speed of a rotating shaft includes a target wheel for securement to a rotatable shaft, the target wheel including a plurality of North/South pole pairs, each pole of each North/South pole pairs being essentially the same size; and a sensor assembly. An electronic processor is configured to receive inputs from the first magnetic sensor array and the second magnetic sensor array, and to determine a position and/or speed of the shaft.

    Abstract: A bearing assembly includes a split inner race ring configured to be installed on a shaft and defines two raceways for supporting rolling elements. A split clamping band is configured to be installed over the split inner race ring to secure the split inner race ring on the shaft. A split seal wear ring is configured to be installed on an outer diameter surface of the split clamping band. An engagement interface between the split clamping band and the split seal wear ring includes a boss on one of the split clamping band and the split seal wear ring, and an aperture on the other one of the split clamping band and the split seal wear ring. The aperture is sized and configured to receive the boss for positioning the split seal wear ring on the split clamping band.
