Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and method for itinerary planning. The method commences with processing of network segments stored in a database to generate builds in response to receiving an itinerary planning request. At least one of the builds having a cost that is lowest is selected. The cost is determined as a function of at least two factors. The at least one build is outputted.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to systems and methods for storing performance data in a transit organization. Sets of performance data for runs over a plurality of routes are stored. The routes are divided into links. Associations between the sets of performance data and the links are also stored.
Abstract:
A method and system for adjusting a demand-response transit schedule is provided. A demand-response transit schedule is reviewed during performance of the demand-response transit schedule. The fact that the demand-response transit schedule may need to be adjusted is detected. The demand-response transit schedule is then adjusted.
Abstract:
A method and system for paratransil run-cutting is provided. A target number of paratransit vehicles is determined for each of a set of time intervals. A target number of trips corresponding to the target number of paratransit vehicles is generated for each time interval, each of said mock trips being defined such that a vehicle performing one of said mock trips in one of said time intervals is able to perform any of said mock trips in an immediately subsequent one of said time intervals. The target number of mock trips for each of the time intervals is entered into a fixed-route transit run-cutting application. Paratransit runs are created using fixed-route transit runs generated by said fixed-route transit run-cutting application.
Abstract:
A method and system for enabling location entry is provided. A text string entered into a free-form location entry field of a user interface is received. At least one location potentially matching the text string is retrieved from a location database managed by a computer system. The at least one location is provided to the user interface for presentation to a user of the user interface.
Abstract:
A system for aggregating data from a plurality of operational databases, and a method for providing the same, are provided. The system includes a data store storing a collection of pre-defined extraction scripts. The extraction scripts identify data available for extraction from a plurality of operational database products, and including parameters for specifying which of the data to extract. A data warehouse server executes the extraction scripts to extract, merge, transform and load the specified data from the plurality of operational databases into a multidimensional database.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for demand response transit systems using periodic passes as optional payment for transit services. Booking transit services may include determining if the passenger has a periodic pass and whether such periodic pass can be used to fully or partially pay for such booking. Historical costs and use of periodic passes, having certain characteristics, can further be used to set future prices of such periodic passes.
Abstract:
A method and system for scheduling home health care visits are provided. Client data for a set of clients, home health care professional data for a set of home health care professionals, and a resource schedule for the set of clients and the set of home health care professionals are stored in storage of a computer system. The resource schedule is determined to have become unsuitable. A change to the resource schedule in response to the determining is identified. The change to a transit-scheduling server to make a revision to a transit schedule is automatically communicated. Confirmation of the revision of the transit schedule is received. The resource schedule is revised in response to the receipt of the confirmation.
Abstract:
A method and system for generating fixed transit routes is provided. A first set of street network segments within a first threshold distance from a starting point is identified for a pattern inputted by a user. A proxy first point along each of the street network segments in the first set is also identified. A second set of street network segments within a second threshold distance from an ending point is identified for the pattern inputted by the user. A proxy second point along each of the street network segments in the second set is also identified. A best path for the pattern is determined including any one of the proxy first points along the street network segments in the first set and any one of the proxy second points along the street network segments in the second set.
