摘要： An automatic detergent dispenser assembly has a bracket affixed to a flange adjacent the top access opening to the tub of an automatic washer of the vertical axis type, by which a dispenser cup may be mounted by a cooperating fitting to overhang the tub. A solenoid mounted beneath the bracket and flange selectively releases a catch on the cup, allowing a trap door on the bottom of the cup to spring open and dispense detergent from the cup into the tub. The bracket and solenoid are mounted by a single screw and have keying means to prevent rotation between the parts. The trap door is hinged on pins integral with the door and engaging corresponding eyes on the cup, and a torsion bar along the hinge line provides a biasing force to open the door upon release of the catch by the solenoid.

摘要： A clothes dryer employs a pivotally mounted resilient spring bracket for tensioning a drive belt which is entrained about a pulley of the dryer drive motor and a rotatable dryer drum, the idler pivoting to a free position upon release of belt tension due to belt breakage or the like. A switch is serially connected in at least one power lead of the drive motor and includes a switch actuator disposed in the path of travel of the spring bracket for direct contact and operation thereby to open the circuit of the motor. The switch is mounted on the base of the dryer by a bracket including a shoulder which extends above the body of the switch and below the extent of the switch actuator to engage the spring bracket immediately subsequent to operation of the switch to prevent damage to the switch.

摘要： A lint screen handle for an automatic dryer functions as a selfaligning closure between a recess therefor on an outer surface of a dryer cabinet and a lint screen chute within the dryer mechanism by means of an attachment permitting looseness between the handle and the frame of the lint screen but binding the handle and frame permanently together. The attachment consists of two bars or tabs projecting from the underside of the handle, each having a barb or catch on its end; the frame of the screen has corresponding apertures sized to pass the bodies of the projecting bars but to prevent removal of the barbs or hooks from the frame. Thus, a limited-travel ball-joint connection is effected between the handle and the frame of the lint screen. The handle has an enlarged flange to form a closure cover to the passage in the cabinet leading to the lint screen chute.

摘要： A cabinet construction having improved means for closing the end of a foaming-in-place space extending between an outer cabinet panel and an inner liner panel. The edges of the panels are slip fitted together to close the space and tape is provided overlying the interfitted portions to prevent expansion of the foaming insulation to between the slip fitted portions thereby effectively preventing locking together of these panel portions by injected foam material. Thus, relative movement between the cabinet and liner panels is permitted to prevent development of excessive tensile stresses resulting from variations in the temperature conditions to which the cabinet is subjected.

The variable resistance changes in response to heating, due to current flow through the input of the device, between low and high values to control energization of the timer motor. The input terminals of the device may be connected in parallel with respect to a thermostat or the heater means, depending on whether the thermal coupler device has a positive or negative temperature coefficient of resistance.
