    摘要： The bird restraint system is a body harness allowing birds freedom to move about and fly while being secured to a specific limited area. This harness system makes it possible for flighted and unflighted parrots to be comfortably and safely taken to any location without the possibility of escaping the control of the handler. This harness is very lightweight, easy to install on the bird, and escape proof. The efficient, lightweight design allows the harness to be worn by birds as small as 75 grams with no restrictions for the largest birds (i.e. ostrich). The leash is incorporated into the harness system to facilitate installation, and; since the leash and harness are one system, the bird is unable to disconnect the leash from the harness. The leash is made of elastic shock cord to absorb impact and reduce the risk of injury.

    摘要： A non-lethal method of cock fighting includes providing each gamecock (12a, 12b) with a garment such as a vest (16a, 16b) or collar (100a, 100b) that at least partially covers the body of the gamecock and carries a sensor (19a-19e, 103-107) at a predetermined location on the garment and a signal transmission device (20). The signal transmission device generates a signal when the sensor is struck by a gamecock. The spurs (12c) of each gamecock are covered with a protective device (60) to prevent the spurs from causing injury during the cock fight and their beaks (12d) are taped shut. A scoring apparatus (26) is provided that is responsive to the signal and includes a visual display that displays a numerical score for each gamecock. The numerical score is based, at least in part, on the number strikes detected by the sensor being struck over a predetermined time period during the cock fight.

    摘要： A shear bar for a forage harvester and which cooperates with the rotary chopping cylinder of the harvester to cut the crop into small particles. The shear bar has hard facing along the vertical side adjacent the shearing corner and furthermore has hard facing on the horizontal side adjacent said shearing corner, but the horizontal hard facing is located a slight distance away from the shearing corner and from the vertical surface. A space between the hard facing and the vertical facing is thus permitted to erode or wear away during use and thereby automatically forms a very sharp cutting edge which cooperates with the rotating knives of the chopping cylinder.
