摘要： A simplified drawer guiding system uses only (1) a single track on each side of the drawer, (2) a pair of universal brackets for mounting a pair of wheels on the rear upper or lower side corners of the drawer, to ride in the track, and (3) another pair of wheels, of small diameter, mounted just inside the front of the cabinet, and below the drawer for engagement by the lower sides of the drawer, to support the drawer at the front. Universal brackets, which may for example be triangular, are employed to secure the rollers on the rear corners of the drawer, with the same bracket being used for both the left and the right side, with the brackets being located either at the top or the bottom, and always using a single type of bracket. Similarly, the small diameter rollers preferably in the order of 5/8 inch may be mounted by a universal bracket, with the same type of bracket being secured both to a track at the front left-hand side of the drawer case, and to one at the front right-hand side thereof.

摘要： A resilient restraining member for use with a cabinet having a drawer. The cabinet includes a rail integral with the drawer, a run secured to the cabinet and transport means secured to the drawer. The resilient restraining member has a first spring portion at one end adapted to be attached to the run and a second spring portion at the other end adapted to normally extend into the run. The transport means is disposed to travel along the run and to urge the second spring portion out of its path of travel as the drawer is moved toward a closed position. The second spring portion thereafter returns to its normal position extending into the run to cooperate with the transport means to releasably retain the drawer in the closed position. The transport means again is disposed to travel along the run and to urge the second spring portion out of its path of travel as the drawer is later moved toward an open position. The resilient restraining member prevents unintentional movement of the drawer from the closed position to the open position. The cabinet or its environment can therefore be moved without consequent movement of the closed drawer. With these features of construction, the resilient restraining member provides a cabinet drawer restrainer useful with any cabinet having a drawer.

摘要： A thin profile drawer slide apparatus for slidably supporting a heavy drawer in furniture, comprising symmetrical, identical channel members for slidably attaching the apparatus to a drawer and an article of furniture, a plurality of bearings slidably retained in the channel members by bearing retainers, and by an intermediate slide member. The intermediate slide member comprises the unitarily formed combination of a generally vertical central wall, a first bearing raceway joined to an end of the central wall, and a second bearing raceway joined to an arcuate wall extending angularly outwardly from the first bearing raceway, whereby the first and second bearing raceways are vertically and angularly separated. The ball bearings are arranged in four linear, slightly offset sets. Use of a single intermediate slide member with raceways for four separate sets of bearings provides a thin, strong drawer slide for carrying heavy loads. In an alternate embodiment, the central wall of the intermediate slide member comprises a generally rectangular window with a progression roller mounted therein on a vertical axis of rotation. The roller exerts friction on the inner faces of the channel members by compression against the inner faces when the roller is moved. Edges of window act as a detent on the roller and also urge the slide closed when the slide is brought to rest with the roller against one of the edges. The windows relieve compression of the roller when the slide is fully closed.

摘要： A drawer slide system is provided in which cooperating rollers and tracks are mounted to the sides of the drawer and to the frame of the cabinet in which the drawer is mounted. The drawer mounted component comprises a track having an L-shaped cross-section mountable flush against the side of the drawer with the upper edge thereof even with the upper edge of the drawer. A roller is mounted near the rear end of the track and an arcuate indent is formed near the forward end thereof. The cabinet-mounted component includes a rail of U-shaped cross-section the end of which is mounted by means of a bracket to the rear wall of the cabinet and the forward end is formed with a depending flange on which is mounted a roller. The roller on the drawer component rides in the U-shaped rail while the roller on the cabinet component supports the drawer rail. The drawer rail is contoured to maintain clearance between the cabinet roller and the drawer.
