摘要： An improvement on my U.S. Pat. No. 4,389,079, granted June 21, 1983, for a DRAWER SLIDE ASSEMBLY applicable to case goods generally, such as chests, desks, dressers, tables and other household furniture having a drawer. My invention is applicable to case goods formed of wood, metal, etc. My improved slide comprises a pair of interengaging male and female channel-like members that may conveniently be metal stampings, one affixed to the bottom of a drawer cavity while the other is attached to the drawer bottom and designed to ride in the first mentioned channel member. The male channel has affixed to its leading or rear end a slide or guide block preferably molded of synthetic plastic having a low coefficient of friction, serving to introduce the channel by which it is carried into the other channel and also serving as a low friction bearing for smooth sliding movement of the drawer.

摘要： A drawer mounting arrangement of the type which includes a pair of slider elements mounted on the drawer and a pair of rail elements mounted on the drawer frame for slidably supporting the slider elements. A first of the elements has a pair of longitudinally-extending first flanges, while a second of the elements has a second flange that extends between the first flanges and that has an enlarged rounded distal end. The first flanges can be formed with ridges to provide a narrow contact area with the enlarged rounded end of the first flange. A pair of low friction plastic spacer elements lie at either side of the wooden drawer to keep it spaced from the sides of the frame and provide low friction guiding of the drawer.

摘要： A drawer of the sort used in cabinets, desks, files and the like is supported for sliding movement by a single self-aligning center rail. The rail is mounted to the cabinet frame preferably above the drawer, extending from front to back. It is supported at its forward end by a bracket in fixed position and at the rear end by a cup-shaped receptacle allowing limited lateral movement of the rail end. A bifurcated drawer guide is attached at its lower end to the back wall of the drawer and at its upper end slidably engages the rail. The rail is tubular for the major portion thereof while the forward end is flattened to provide a partial stop action for the drawer and also provide means for the drawer to be fully removed. Low friction guide plates are mounted about the drawer opening for quiet, easy movement thereof.
