摘要： The present disclosure relates to a furniture fitting comprising a support bracket, a first push element, a second push element, which is pivotable with respect to the first push element, and a third push element, which is longitudinally displaceable with respect to the second push element and pivotable with respect to the first push element, wherein a longitudinal displacement of the first push element effects a pivoting movement of the second push element with respect to the first push element and an extending movement of the third push element resulting therefrom. The present disclosure further relates to an arrangement comprising two furniture fittings and to beneficial uses of furniture fittings.

摘要： Furniture is described having an extendable footrest. The footrest has a main panel and a flipper panel. In an extended position of the footrest, the top surfaces of the panels are approximately horizontal and co-planar, the main panel being proximate to a seat portion of the furniture. In a retracted position of the footrest, the top surface of the main panel is approximately vertical and the top surface of the flipper panel is approximately horizontal and facing in a downward direction. The footrest projects substantially 20″ or more from the front of the seat portion in the extended position, and substantially 7″ or less is provided between the floor and the apparent bottom edge of the footrest when retracted.

The actuating system includes at least one linear actuator, a power supply unit and a manual control device. The power supply unit and the manual control device are electrically connected to the linear actuator, which has a diagnostic system having at least one illuminated indicator for indicating the functioning of the three components. The diagnostic system allows the user or a repair service to determine which of the three components is faulty, so that only the faulty component has to be replaced. Repair costs can be reduced significantly. The replacement of one of the three components can also then be carried out without difficulty by the user or a repair service.

The backrest may be configured to swivel, or rotate, about a vertical axis that is defined by an element located adjacent a rearward central location that is below the seat of the chair and adjacent a rear of the chair. A lock mechanism can be selectively engaged to lock and unlock the swiveling mechanism so that when in the locked state, the backrest cannot swivel and when in the unlocked state, the backrest can swivel. In some embodiments, the range of swiveling motion may be with a predefined range, such as +/−10° or +/−20° of rotation relative to a central position of the backrest.
