Abstract:
A mechanism for a zero-gravity reclining chair enables the zero-gravity reclining chair to achieve different positions, states, or modes, including a seated position, state, or mode, a standing position, state, or mode, a TV position, state, or mode, and a reclining position, state, or mode. The mechanism includes left and right-side linkage systems, as well as first and second linear actuators for moving the linkage system and chair components between the different positions, states, or modes. When the zero-gravity reclining chair is disposed at its reclining position, state, or mode, the backrest portion of the zero-gravity reclining chair is disposed at an elevational level which is the same as, or slightly below, that of the footrest portion of the chair so as to provide the occupant of the zero-gravity reclining chair with enhanced health effects.
Abstract:
A linkage device for implementing no backrest clearance, a supporting frame, a seat unit, and a seat, including a bottom base, a linkage mechanism, a support side plate, and a backrest mechanism; the support side plate is provided with a side plate linkage point and a backrest point; the support side plate is rotatably connected to the linkage mechanism at the side plate linkage point; the support side plate is rotatably connected to the backrest mechanism at the backrest point; the backrest mechanism includes a backrest mounting member and a backrest linkage member; and when the backrest mechanism is retracted to an ultimate position, an included angle α between a connecting line between two ends of the backrest mounting member and a connecting line between the backrest point and the side plate linkage point is an acute angle.
Abstract:
Seating furniture includes at least a first and a second linear actuator to adjust the seat part, the foot part, and the back part between the seating and the reclining position. The first linear actuator generates a linear stroke causing the back part to be adjusted relative to the seat part. The second linear actuator generates a linear stroke having at least a first and second partial stroke, The first partial stroke causes, during adjustment of the seating furniture from the seating position into the reclining position, the seat part to slide relative to the frame towards the front, and simultaneously the inclination of the seat part to be adjusted, there being no extension or retraction of the foot part relative to the seat part during this first partial stroke of the second linear actuator. The second linear actuator causes the foot part to extend relative to the seat part by a second partial stroke following the first partial stroke.
Abstract:
A seating unit that includes a linkage mechanism adapted to adjust between closed, extended, and reclined positions is provided. The linkage mechanism includes an adjustment mechanism having a motor and a track that is coupled to the motor and that extends from a front portion of the seating unit to a rear portion of the seating unit. The linkage mechanism also includes a motor activator block slidably coupled to the track and movable along the track using the motor, as well as a single drive link that is attached to the motor activator block. The motor activator block includes a carriage body that slidably attaches the motor activator block to the track and one or more mounting tabs that extend from the carriage body toward the rear portion of the seating unit and that are coupled to the single drive link.
Abstract:
A reclining seating unit includes: a base; an arm frame; a seat having a seat frame; a backrest mounted and pivotally interconnected to the seat frame; a footrest unit; a reclining mechanism attached to the seat and the backrest, the reclining mechanism configured to control relative movement of the seat and backrest between upright and reclined positions; a footrest mechanism attached to the seat, the footrest unit, and the arm frame, the footrest mechanism configured to control relative movement of the footrest unit and the seat between retracted and extended positions; a first linear actuator attached to the reclining mechanism and to the seat configured to move the seat and backrest between the upright and reclined positions; and a second linear actuator attached to the footrest mechanism and to the seat configured to move the footrest unit between the retracted and extended positions.

Abstract:
A chair has a seat portion having a front, a rear and sides. The chair also has a footrest adjustable between at least two positions: a retracted position and an extended position. The footrest is cantilevered from the seat portion in the extended position. The chair also has a plurality of members connected by a plurality of linkages permitting the members to pivot with respect to each other. The plurality of members is adapted to hold the footrest in the retracted position and to support the footrest in the extended position. The chair also has a cover for hiding the plurality of linkages when viewed from a lateral position when the footrest is in the extended position.

Abstract:
A reclining seating unit includes: a frame; a backrest; a seat; main and auxiliary footrests; and a reclining linkage connected between the frame, backrest, seat, main footrest and auxiliary footrest. The reclining mechanism comprises a series of pivotally interconnected links and is configured to move the seating unit between an upright position, a TV position, and a fully reclined position. The reclining mechanism includes a footrest linkage that includes: an upper footrest extension link; a lower footrest extension link; a main footrest bracket on which the main footrest is mounted, the upper footrest extension link and the lower footrest extension link being pivotally connected to the main footrest bracket; a control link pivotally interconnected to the lower footrest extension link; a rear auxiliary footrest swing link pivotally attached to the main footrest bracket and to the control link; a front auxiliary footrest swing link pivotally attached to the main footrest bracket; and an auxiliary footrest bracket to which the auxiliary footrest is mounted, the rear and front auxiliary footrest swing links being pivotally attached to the auxiliary footrest bracket. This configuration can enable the footrest to extend a significant distance in front of the seat in the TV and fully reclined positions.
Abstract:
An adjustable chair (1) includes a control unit (2) having an on/off switch (24), an extending operation button (22), and a retracting operation button (23); a reciprocating unit (3) having a limit member (34), a screw-type slide (33) threadedly put on a lead screw (32) and adapted to move between the limit member (34) and a DC motor (31), and a linkage; and two foot, seat, and back adjustment units (4) disposed in the arms (12) respectively, each foot, seat, and back adjustment units (4) having a linkage so that pressing the extending operation button (22) will tilt a seat (14) and a back (13), and extend a foot rest (11).
