摘要： A portable carrying case is described to hold medicine vials during travel, doctors' visits, etc. The case includes an open-topped box with a hinged lid and attachment means to secure the lid to the box. The case further includes a vial support platform, which may be the upper surface of the box, or a separate platform attachable to the box bottom wall. The platform has a plurality of spaced, parallel divider walls having lower edges attached to the support surface and upper edges. The divider walls have aligned left holes and aligned right holes. An elastic cord is slidable through aligned holes to cord ends outside an end divider wall. A cord lock is used to adjust the length of the cord. The support surface, walls and cord form a plurality of adjustable vial receiving compartments, with the force on each vial being equal regardless of differences in vial sizes.

摘要： A method of supplying health care workers with disposable supplies appropriate for a single patient visit determines a requirement for disposable medical supplies for a patient during an associated single visit by a health care worker. An accounting code is recorded in an accounting database, the code corresponds to the disposable supplies determined to be associated with the visit. The disposable supplies are placed in a disposable container, which is delivered a first site whereat a patient is to receive treatment, prior to the visit by the health care worker. The container is subsequently delivered to a second site for disposal after the visit. Movement of the disposable container is recorded in a computer database when the disposable container is delivered to the first site and to the second site. A package for use by a health care worker in performing health care services comprises a disposable container adapted to receive disposable supplies required by the health care worker for a single visit to a patient. Means are disposed on the outside of said container for identifying the container so that it is trackable by an inventory tracking system. Means are also disposed on the outside of the container for indicating an address to which the container is to be delivered. Means are provided for sealing the container after use so that any material disposed therein cannot be accessed without breaking a seal, and for covering the address means once the container is sealed.

摘要： A medical supply case for organizing and holding various small medical supplies and to be worn and/or carried by medical personnel. A first panel is provided having a first panel front side, a first panel rear side, and a front side supply pocket. A second panel is connected to the first panel and has a second panel front side, and a second panel rear side, a rear side supply pocket. A hinge connects the sides of the first and second panels for positioning the first and second panels relative to each other in a first position wherein the first panel front side is generally adjacent and facing the second panel front side and alternately in a second position wherein the second panel rear side is generally adjacent and facing the first panel rear side. A first securing device releasably secures the first and second panels in the first position, and a second securing device releasably secures the first and second panels in the second position. This arrangement allows the user to have the pockets containing the articles needed for the task at hand to be accessibly positioned, preferably in front when worn by the user. A flap is connected to the first panel and is movable to alternative positions disposed between the first and second panels, or positioned generally adjacent the second panel rear side. A user belt is connected to the first panel so that the first and second panels can be held from the user's waist or shoulder. When the flap is secured across the face of the panels the medical supply case can be removed from the belt with its contents well secured inside and the case then placed in the user's lab coat pocket.

Each of the compartments has a different cross-sectional radius. This allows the carrier to accept medicine vials of differing sizes. A plurality of solid ribbed members are disposed transversely in the cavity, so as to prevent direct contact between the carrier and the medicine vials.

Windowed storage pouches are releasably attached to hinged fasteners located along or near the rims of the top and bottom compartments of the carrying case. The hinged attachment allows the storage pouches to be flipped from inside the carrying case to outside the carrying case while still attached. This arrangement allows for visible access at once to every item transported in the carrying case.
