A difference (FB2−FC2) between a secondary natural frequency FB2 of the golf ball 2 and a secondary natural frequency FC2 of the core 4 is greater than 420 Hz and not greater than 760 Hz. Preferably, a sum (FB2+FC2) is not greater than 5200 Hz. Preferably, the FC2 is not less than 1700 Hz and not greater than 2400 Hz. Preferably, the FB2 is not less than 2250 Hz and not greater than 3050 Hz. Preferably, an amount of compressive deformation Dc of the core 4 is 2.30 to 3.90 mm. Preferably, an amount of compressive deformation Db of the golf ball 2 is 1.80 to 3.30 mm. Preferably, a thickness Tc of the cover 6 is 1.00 to 2.30 mm. Preferably, a Shore D hardness Hc of the cover 6 is 54 to 67.

摘要: A golf ball including a spherical body, first regions, and second regions. The spherical body includes a core layer and a cover layer made from a synthetic resin covering the core layer. Dimples are formed in a surface of the cover layer. First regions that are electrically conductive are formed on a surface of the spherical body. The first regions are formed on a spherical surface having a center of the spherical body as a center. The first regions are positioned at six vertices of an imaginary regular hexahedron such that the vertices are positioned on the surface of the spherical body and, thus, six of the first regions are formed. The second regions are formed in areas of the surface other than where the first regions are formed. The second regions have a radio wave reflectance lower than that of the first regions.

摘要: The present invention is directed to improved polybutadiene compositions suitable for use in molded golf ball core construction. The improved polybutadiene compositions are composed of one or more certain types of polybutadiene, which has the effect of increasing the resiliency of the resulting molded cores and greatly facilitates processing of the compositions and forming the cores. Also disclosed are improved golf ball cores, and balls utilizing such cores, formed from particular ultra high Mooney viscosity polybutadiene. In another aspect, golf balls having particular cover compositions are disclosed. Such cover compositions include at least one sodium ionomer and at least one zinc ionomer. Also disclosed are golf balls having a mechanical impedance with a primary minimum value in a frequency range of 3100 Hz or less after the ball has been maintained at 21.1° C., 1 atm. and about 50% relative humidity for at least 15 hours. The balls of the invention have good distance while providing a soft sound and feel.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a golf ball with a solid core having a PGA compression of 55 or less and an outer cover layer having a Shore D hardness of at least 60, the ball having a PGA compression of 80 or less. In another embodiment of the invention, the ball has a mechanical impedance with a primary minimum value in a frequency range of 3100 Hz or less after the ball has been maintained at 21.1.degree. C., 1 atm. and about 50% relative humidity for at least 15 hours. A further embodiment of the invention is a golf ball having a core, and a cover with a Shore D hardness of at least 58, the ball having a mechanical impedance with a primary minimum value in the frequency range of 2600 Hz after the ball has been maintained at 21.1.degree. C., 1 atm. and about 50% relative humidity for at least 15 hours. The balls of the invention have good distance while providing a soft sound and feel.

摘要: An improved golf ball having a thread-wound central core and an outer cover is provided. The outer cover is composed of a composition comprising (a) at least one ionomer which is a copolymer of at least one .alpha.-olefin and at least one .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid to which copolymer at least one metal ion selected from the group consisting of monovalent, divalent and trivalent metal ions is added and (b) at least one polyester elastomer, the content, in said composition, of said polyester elastomer being 50% by weight or less. This golf ball has excellent cutting resistance, "click" characteristics and impact resilience.
