Yet another embodiment may comprise a frame having a base component, a vertical component, and a cross-member component, a rotation mechanism rotatably coupled with the cross-member component, and a protractor having a freely rotatable arm configured to couple with the golf club and measure an angle at which the golf club is rotated about the rotation point along a swing path.

摘要： A putting/chipping training apparatus and method which allow a trainee to develop an effective putting/chipping stroke through the use of a motion-generating device that, using the trainee's selected golf club, e.g. putter, repeatedly replicates the trainee's most comfortable swing or one patterned thereafter or one that is modified to incorporate well-accepted fundamentals. The device achieves this desired end by effecting rotational movement on two parallel axes simultaneously with linear movement to move the club through the swing path, with the trainee's hands gently holding the grip. The method is individualized by first tracking the trainee's desired stroke to create an average swing path for one stroke which is entered into a databank and can then be precisely replicated.

摘要： A swing training device includes a guiding-arm and a resistance-arm that guides a user through a backswing and a forward swing allowing a user to hit a ball with a naturally swinging follow-through without any hindrance from the guiding components. Two computer-controlled electric motors provide rotation of the corresponding arms. The speed of rotation of the guiding-arm defines a pace of golf club movements. The speed of rotation of the resistance-arm defines the position of the club shaft relative to the user's forearms at each point of the backswing. During the forward swing the resistance-arm defines a pace of golf club movements, while the guiding-arm interactively resists the golf club movements through the guiding-arm lead, which is released from the guiding-arm by means of a trigger mechanism mounted on the distal end of the guiding-arm at a defined point of the swing controlled by the computer system a golf club.

Furthermore, the golfing apparatus includes a guiding member adapted to receive a handle portion of a golf club. The guiding member is slidably engaged in the groove to enable a free movement of the guiding member therein. The free movement of the guiding member in the groove guides a swing of the golf club received in the guiding member, thereby assisting the golfer in playing golf.

The short-putt module includes a telescoping cylindrical shaft that is attached to the user's putter. When used, the short-putt module forces the user to keep the short-putt stroke straight. The long-putt module includes an arcuate guide to which a putter may be attached, thereby requiring the user to use an arcuate stroke for a long putt. The third putting module includes use of a mounting assembly that connects a putter to a horizontal bar. This embodiment allows movement of the putter along a generally defined arc that allows a slight transverse or perpendicular movement of the putter during the stroke.

摘要： A golf driving and putting training aid comprises a driving module, a short-putt module, and a long-putt module. The driving module includes a shaft (12) of telescoping cylinders pivotally secured at one end to a supporting surface (50) and provided with a driving handle (22) at the other end. The rate of retraction and extension of all cylinders is controlled by felt strips (84) restricting the flow of air between the cylinders. The direction of the swing is controlled by pivoting joints (20) by which the cylinders are connected to the supporting surface and to the handle. The short-putt module includes a telescoping cylindrical shaft that is attached to the user's putter (112). When used, the short-putt module includes an arcuate guide to which a putter may be attached, thereby requiring the user to use the proper arcuate stoke for a long put.
