    摘要: The embodiments disclosed herein relate to a brake assembly for decelerating motion of a vehicle having a deck and a plurality of wheels. The brake assembly comprises a generally U-shaped member configured so that when attached to the vehicle the first portion extends transversely across at least a portion of the deck to form a foot bar. A brake flap attached to the second portion of the U-shaped members such that when the brake assembly is attached to the vehicle the brake flap is positioned proximal to at least one wheel of the vehicle. A mechanical fastener is configured to secure the brake assembly to the vehicle in a manner that permits rotatable movement of the foot bar and the brake flap with a spring positioned on the brake assembly configured to bias the brake flap away from the wheel to minimize interference with the wheel until the user of the vehicle depresses the foot bar so as to engage the wheel for deceleration.

    摘要: A roller skate is equipped with three or four wheels arranged in one line on the carrier which is joined to the shoe. Each wheel is cushioned independently with a spring system including at least two compression springs. A front wheel can be provided with two springs the longitudinal axes of which are oriented in the extent between the horizontal and vertical directions with the bottom ends of the springs being placed in front of the top ends of the springs or under them. Other wheels may be equipped with four springs having the longitudinal axes of the spring oriented vertically. At least two wheels can be provided with a braking system including clips with brake pads on both sides. The roller skate may be used and maintained on a specially configured assembling stand.

    摘要: A roller skate having enhanced durability and stability is disclosed. The skate includes a platform for supporting a skater's foot. The platform includes a toe plate and heel plate connected by an adjustable connecting assembly. A front truck is affixed to the underside of the toe plate, while a rear truck is affixed to the underside of the heel plate. The front truck includes simple bracket arms for affixing a single front wheel which is capable of rotating, but not capable of tilting about the platform's longitudinal axis. Meanwhile, the rear wheel truck is mounted to the underside of the heel plate so as to permit both tilting movement about an inclined longitudinal axis, and also rotation about a transverse axis relative to the roller skate's platform. Preferably, the roller skate includes three wheels rotatably mounted to the rear wheel truck.
