摘要:
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for cleaning recesses in ski boots and installing such apparatuses on various surfaces are disclosed. A user may insert a portion of the apparatus that projects from the surface on which it is installed into a gap between a steel rod in their ski boot designed for use with a ski binding and the sole of the ski boot in order to clear the recess in which the steel rod is disposed.
摘要:
A brake mechanism adapted to be secured to a ski for braking the ski, comprises at least one brake element movable, upon release of the boot from the ski binding, from a position above the running surface of the ski automatically downwardly into a ski braking position, to thereby engage with the snow for the purpose of exerting a braking force upon the ski. A retaining element actuatable upon inserting the boot into the ski binding retains the braking element in its preparatory braking position, so that upon release of such retaining element the braking element moves from its preparatory braking position into its actual ski braking position. A first locking-pawl arrangement serves to retain the braking element in a locked position for convenient transport and storage of the ski, and a second locking-pawl arrangement serves to retain such braking element in its preparatory braking position, this retaining element cooperating with said first locking-pawl arrangement and said second locking-pawl arrangement such that actuation of said retaining element causes release of the locked position of said braking element and transfer thereof into its preparatory braking position against a spring force effective at said retaining element.

A scraping device adhesively mounted on the top surface of a ski for removing ice and snow from the bottom surfaces of a ski boot. The scraping device, with a rectangular base supporting a plurality of vertical segments, symmetrically spaced, is molded from an elastomeric material having sufficient stiffness and elasticity to rotate horizontally under the compressive force of a ski boot. The top surface of each segment having a saw tooth or abrasive surface. The skier scraping the boot while asserting pressure on the scraper is able to remove ice and snow from the bottom surface of the boot.

A combination boot scraper adapted to scrape the snow off the sole of a ski boot and an anti-theft device is disclosed. The combination boot scraper and anti-theft device comprises a flat substantially rectangular base having an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface of the base is adapted to contact and be affixed to an upper surface of a ski. The upper surface of the base has a rigid upstanding flange integrally formed therewith. The flange is generally coextensive with two opposing points along the periphery of the upper surface of the base. The flange has an arch defined therein which is adapted to receive a cable or other similar securing means for securing the ski to a fixed object. In a preferred embodiment, the base also has an aperture which is diagonally disposed in an opposite direction from the flange so that the arch in the flange and the aperture in the base cooperate to form a means for receiving a securing cable, or the like, through the combination ski scraper and locking device.
摘要:
A device adapted to be mounted on, or integral with the upper surface of a snow ski for the purpose of removing ice, snow, mud, and the like from the bottom of a skier's boot prior to insertion of the boot into the binding. The device may be in the shape of a disk or may have any one of a variety of other outer contours presenting a scraping surface of substantially uniform magnitude to a ski boot as the boot is drawn toward and across a central region of the device regardless of the orientation of the ski relative to the boot.

A mechanically attached snowboard with a plurality of snow removal elements attached to its top surface that allows a snowboarder to remove compact snow and ice from the bottom on his or her boot before placing the boot into the binding or act as a temporary traction device for the detached rear boot. Each removal element includes an adapter adhesively attached and particularly embedded into the snowboard. Each adapter includes a threaded bore that is designed to receive a threaded bolt attached to a conical cap. During use, the conical cap extends above the top surface of the snowboard and scrapes away snow and ice located in the treads formed on the bottom of the snowboarder's boot. In the preferred embodiment, a plurality of adapters and caps are aligned on the top surface of the snowboard so that the entire lower surface of the boot can be easily cleaned by stomping or swiping the bottom surface of the boot thereover. The caps also act as a temporary traction device for the rear boot when exiting a chairlift.

A snow board parking brake apparatus for holding a snow board at rest during the time a snow boarder is attaching or detaching the snow boarder's boots to or from the snow board bindings. A function of this invention is to make snow boarding more enjoyable by 1) holding the snow board member stable on the snow while the snow boarder is attaching or detaching the snow boarder's boots and snow board bindings; 2) removing snow build-up on the snow boarder's boot soles; 3) providing a convenient handle to hand carry the snow board when the snow boarder is walking; and 4) providing convenient rings to attach a carrying strap to put over the snow boarder's shoulder or a padlock and chain assembly for security during storage of the snow board member. The snow board parking brake apparatus includes 1) a basic support base assembly secured to the snow board member; and 2) a main parking brake assembly mounted on the basic support base assembly. The main brake parking assembly has to move a brake blade assembly movable in an upwardly, laterally, and downward position extended laterally and below a lower surface of the snow board member.

Ski binding having a bottom member for mounting on a ski and receiving a sole of a ski shoe, and a guard element of essentially shoe toe shape mounted on upwardly projecting ears of the bottom member to pivot between upward inactive and downward active positions. The guard element has a lateral side from opposite ends of which longitudinal sides thereof converge. The lateral side faces the pivotal axis of the guard element and its under edge is designed in the upward position to permit insertion of the sole of the shoe on the bottom member and in the downward position to clamp the edge of the sole against the bottom member. The binding is also retainingly engageable on the sole via the bottom member and/or the under edge of the lateral side of the guard element. In the active position the guard element is adapted to cover the front edge of the sole of the shoe while a portion of the bottom element lying in front of this edge is adapted to engage the adjacent guard element.
