The method includes disposing the magnetically movable object over a display of an electronic device. The method further includes imparting motion to the magnetically movable object by adjusting a magnetic field that is produced by a magnetic field source, the magnetic field being applied to the magnetically movable object through the display of the electronic device. The adjusting the magnetic field can be based on a location of the magnetically movable object over the display. Furthermore, the display can be a touch sensitive display and the adjusting the magnetic field can be based on touch input of the touch sensitive display. The imparting motion can include moving the magnetically movable object around the display.

    摘要： An apparatus for suspending and positioning marionettes. The apparatus includes a thin, planar support membrane such as a plastic sheet. A tender vehicle is positioned on the upper side of the support membrane. A motor or other drive mechanism selectively positions the tender vehicle relative to the support membrane. The apparatus includes a puppeteer vehicle from which a marionette is suspended. The puppeteer vehicle is positioned proximate to the lower side of the support membrane opposite the tender vehicle. To support the puppeteer vehicle, one or both of the vehicles includes one or more rotatable magnetic elements such that the attractive forces support the weight of the puppeteer vehicle and the marionette. Typically, the puppeteer vehicle is a passive follower, and the drive mechanism of the tender vehicle includes motors to move the magnetic elements and position the tender and following puppeteer vehicle with its marionette to provide a show.

    摘要： Game systems and apparatuses that include magnets are disclosed herein. A game configured in accordance with one embodiment of the invention includes a playing piece having a first magnet and a shooting device having a second magnet configured to repel the first magnet. In this embodiment, the shooting device further includes a bottom portion and a chamber. The bottom portion is configured to move across a playing surface while held in contact with the playing surface. The chamber is configured to releasably hold the playing piece while the bottom portion of the shooting device is held in contact with the playing surface. In this embodiment, the game is played by holding the playing piece in the chamber with the first magnet repelling the second magnet, and releasing the playing piece to shoot it across the playing surface toward a scoring area.
