Abstract:
A metal container lid having an apertured design with rolled edges is stamped by a method and apparatus incorporating a cushioning pad between a die and the metal sheet, which is then stamped with a perforating punch.
Abstract:
In the method for blanking out a sheet material (1) between a punch (4) and a die (6) having a sharp edge (7), the punch (4) is formed by a heterogeneous composite elastic material having localized regions (4a) having a relatively higher hardness, and complementary regions (4b) having a relatively lower hardness.
Abstract:
There is provided a punching device for punching a workpiece into a predetermined shape using a die and a punch, the device including: load sensors which measure a load in a punching direction at at least three predetermined points different from each other; and a control device that calculates a first moment, which is a sum of moments of the measured load around a first axis, and a second moment, which is a sum of moments of the measured load around a second axis, with respect to the first and second axes on a plane perpendicular to the punching direction, and determines that foreign matter is generated in a case where a magnitude of at least one of the first and second moments is deviated from a range of predetermined values.
Abstract:
A shearing method for a thin plate including forming a protruded product part having a first sagging part when the thin plate with a thickness of not more than approximately 0.3 mm is performed with a half die cutting by pressing the half die cutting punch slightly larger than the half die cutting hole to form a shallow recessed part, fixing the product part by a fixing member, forming a second sagging part at an edge portion of the thin plate by pressurizing a scrap part by moving a pressure punch which is provided with a gap between the fixing member and the pressure punch and by being bent between the scrap part and the product part, and then separating the scrap part from the product part.
Abstract:
A process of making a cutter foil for dry shaving apparatus, using a rubber cushion, and a die having raised parts each of which decreases in cross section from a base to a free end, and consists of two superimposed portions between which is a steplike offset, the end portion having a height at least equal to the thickness of the foil; the process comprising a single operation of pressing the die and the cushion together with the foil between them, which causes the end portion of each raised part to punch a hole in the foil, as a first step, and directly thereafter causes the base portion to turn over the edge of the hole, as a second step; followed by removing part only of the turned-over material by grinding in a plane parallel to the surface of the foil.
Abstract:
A TWO-STEP METHOD IS PROVIDED FOR PRODUCING LOUVERS BY THE GUERIN PROCESS IN WHICH A FORM BLOCK HAVING A CLOSEDEND RECESS WITH AN ERECT SHEAR RULE THEREIN AND A RESILIENT FORMING BLOCK ARE MOVED RELATIVE TO EACH OTHER WITH A SHEET METAL BLANK THEREBETWEEN, INCLUDING A FIRST PREFORMING STEP IN WHICH A PLASTIC INSERT IS PLACED IN THE RECESS ALONGSIDE THE SHEARS RULE WHICH PREVENTS SHEARING OF THE BLANK WHILE EFFECTING CONTROLLED STRETCHING OF THE METAL OVERLYING THE RECESS AS THE BLANK IS FORCED INTO THE RECESS BY THE FORMING BLOCK, AND A SECOND SHEARING AND FORMING STEP PERFORMED IN THE SAME MANNER IN THE SAME APPARATUS WITH THE PLASTIC INSERT REMOVED.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for hydroshearing and hydrotrimming for a hydroforming die includes a cutting insert fixed relative to the hydroforming die. The apparatus and method also includes a disposable insert fixed relative to the hydroforming die. The apparatus and method further includes a plunger movable relative to the hydroforming die to allow fluid within a tubular member to force a wall portion of the tubular member outward against the plunger and be sheared in the hydroforming die to trim the tubular member.

Abstract:
A press machine structure wherein a work stock is set on a lower die having a die, and an upper die engageable with the lower die is lowered so as to press the work stock against the lower die for deforming the same, while a pad presses and fixes the portion of the work stock at the peripheral edge of the die as the upper die effects working and at the same time, the punch statically contacts with the work stock, and then, a push rod provided to the upper die presses the punch to project out and face to the die for punching the work stock, thereby allowing bending and punching to be continuously effected.
