    摘要: The teachings provide a fill tube assembly for a casting mold and methods of using the assembly. The fill tube assembly includes a fill tube having a tubular member with a receiving end, a mold-engaging end and an intermediate portion. The mold-engaging end has a tapered flange radially extending therefrom, the remainder of the tubular member has a substantially, uniform cross-section. A clamping assembly is structured to maintain a substantially leakproof seal at the fill tube, casting mold interface while accommodating dimensional variations. The clamping assembly includes a gasket, a load ring, a clamping plate and a pre-load gap between the clamping plate and the casting mold and optionally includes a dimensional compensating ring. When tightened, the clamping plate biases the load ring against the flange thereby distributing a uniform load against the casting mold, compressing the gasket therebetween while narrowing the pre-load gap to accommodate dimensional variations.

    摘要: The teachings provide a fill tube assembly for a casting mold and methods of using the assembly.     摘要: The pouring nozzle comprises an elongated, tubular part, defining a lower part of a pouring channel with a central longitudinal axis L, a plate-like part, provided with a flow-through opening between its surface opposite the tubular part and its section adjacent said tubular part. The flow-through opening defines an upper part of the pouring channel. The peripheral area between said surface and said section comprises four segments, namely two inclined bearing surfaces, opposite to each other, and two planar surface sections, arranged opposite and parallel to each other between said two distinct bearing surfaces. Each bearing surface is curved with respect to the central longitudinal axis L of the pouring channel. The curvature is therefore concave with respect to the central longitudinal axis L and in view of the opposite arrangement of the bearing surfaces the said bearing surfaces are arranged inversely to each other.

    摘要: A tube for pouring liquid metal has a pouring channel with a pouring axis. The tube has a downstream part with a pouring channel with an outlet diameter, and a flared upstream part with a length known as the threshold distance. The threshold distance is greater than four times the outlet diameter. The upstream part is flared and configured so that its upper end has a convex overall shape in the axial direction. The upstream part is included within a first volume corresponding to the complementary part of an axisymmetric frustoconical volume having as its axis the pouring axis. The generatrix of the volume forms an angle greater than 5 degrees with the pouring axis. The upstream part is included within a second volume, delimited by a surface of revolution generated by an isosceles trapezium revolving about the pouring axis.

    摘要: A submerged nozzle supporting-replacing mechanism, which is constituted to set an entire width dimension (L3) of each of clampers (20 and 21) to be smaller than a flange diameter dimension (L1) of a submerged nozzle (9) so as to position each of the clampers (20 and 21) by a positioning member (26), and so as to guide an upper surface (43) of a fresh submerged nozzle (9A) by a positioning liner (6), to thereby regulate a height position of the fresh submerged nozzle (9A) during movement in a horizontal direction thereof. The position of the clampers are regulated by setting the entire width dimension of the clampers to be smaller than the flange diameter dimension of the submerged nozzle, which can be smoothly replaced by providing the positioning liner.
