    Abstract: A safety drilling tool having a tapered drill bit that drills through materials, such as metal, without producing any torque or heat is provided. The safety drilling tool may provide safety for the operator of the tool while drilling or cutting into electrical/electronic enclosures, such as switchgear. The bit may include a smooth graduated cam on the cutting portion eliminate the usage of steps as is the conventional practice in the art. The drill bits may be different sizes to reduce the bulkiness for sake of convenience. The bits may have a one or more internal helical flutes for pushing the debris through the hole being drilled. The hole saw portion of the bit draws the material into the center of the bit until the initial hole is made allowing the debris from the tapered bit to flow through hole being drilled.

    Abstract: A hole saw blade comprises a substantially cylindrical body with a pair of sides extending substantially concentric to each other. The sides have an inner surface and an outer surface. A cutting edge extends from an end of the body. A plurality of teeth defines the cutting edge. The teeth are arranged in an alternating pattern in which a first tooth extends inwardly of a cylinder containing the inner surface a first inner distance. A second tooth is adjacent to the first tooth extends outwardly of a cylinder containing the outer surface a second outer distance. A third tooth is located adjacent the second tooth on an opposite side of the first tooth and that extends inwardly of the cylinder containing the inner surface a third inner distance greater than the first inner distance.

    Abstract: A recip saw blade has a blade body and a cutting edge extending along the blade body and defined by a repeating pattern of two consecutive teeth suitable for abusive cutting applications. The blade defines a relatively coarse tooth pitch. The two consecutive teeth, which may be bi-metal, include a high tooth and a relatively low tooth in comparison to the high tooth. Each high tooth and low tooth include a primary clearance surface defining a relatively shallow primary clearance angle that is about 28° or less, and a secondary clearance surface defining a relatively steep secondary clearance angle in comparison to the primary clearance angle. The primary clearance angle of the high tooth is steeper than the primary clearance angle of the low tooth, such as between about 23° and 28°, and the secondary clearance angle of the high tooth is shallower than the secondary clearance angle of the low tooth.

The teeth can be disposed in a repeating pattern including a raker tooth, a first set tooth having a light offset to a right side of the blade body, a second set tooth having a heavy offset to the left side of the blade body, a second raker tooth, a third set tooth having a light offset to the left side, and a fourth set tooth having a heavy offset to the right side of the blade body. Each tooth can include a tip, rake face, gullet having a gullet depth, and one or more clearance surfaces. The pitch distance and gullet depth of the heavy offset teeth can be less than the pitch distances and gullet depths of the remaining teeth to provide an increased amount of strength for the heavy offset teeth.
