摘要: A linear blind broaching machine (10) includes a base (22), a broaching ram assembly (24), a linear tool slide (26) supported on the base by linear antifriction bearings (90) and a support block (92) mounted between the base and the linear tool slide below a broaching ram of the broaching ram assembly to provide support to the linear tool slide during blind broaching. The linear tool slide has an elongated construction including an elongated positioning block (114) against which blind broaches are laterally positioned, and an electric servomotor (108) drives the linear tool slide (26) to provide indexing thereof between broaching movements of the broaching ram. A roller screw drive (54) driven by an electric servomotor (56) drives a broaching ram (44) supported by linear antifriction bearings 46.

摘要: In a burr removing method and apparatus of the present invention, a burr located at an edge of a steel piece is cut with a cutter by disposing the cutter such that the flank of the cutter is substantially in parallel with the surface of the steel piece on which the burr exists and the angle between the cutting edge of the cutter and the edge of the steel piece which the burr intersects is at least 45null and relatively moving the cutter toward the outside of the steel piece along the lengthwise direction of the burr; or by disposing the cutter such that the flank of the cutter is substantially in parallel with the surface of the steel piece on which the burr exists and the angle between the cutting edge of the cutter and the edge of the steel piece which the burr intersects is at least 90null and cutting the burr located at the edge of the steel piece by relatively moving the cutter perpendicularly to the lengthwise direction of the burr. In the present invention, burrs such as welding burrs and the like formed when billets and so on are continuously rolled can be cut without the occurrence of a protruding burr.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to methods and apparatus for connecting tubulars and reforming the connection between the tubulars. In one aspect of the invention, the tubulars are aligned, connected, and then reformed at the connection. In one embodiment, the reforming is accomplished by removing material from the tubular connection. Preferably, a broach is used to remove the material. In another embodiment, a reforming member operatively connected to a telescoping tubular is inserted into the tubulars.

摘要: An inside broaching machine having an upper pressure cylinder and a lower drawing cylinder that can be displaced in a machine rack. A machine table with receiving means, receives work pieces in parallel, and the broaching tools extending through the machine table each can be locked on the pressure carriage and the drawing carriage in tool holders. The machine exerts pressure and tensile force in the course of the broaching operation. The broaching tools are held clamped on the pressure carriage and the drawing carriage in radially clamping tool holders through the broaching operation. The two carriages are coupled in a force-locked manner.
