摘要: A tap is designed so that the pollution of the environment can be prevented and the cleaning can be simplified. The tap includes an intake hole having openings at a screw portion of the tap. Air intake is performed through the intake hole, so that the chips generated by the screw portion in the cutting can be aspirated from the openings forcibly. Because the chips can be discharged without using cutting fluids, pollution of the environment can be prevented. Because the chips can be aspirated from the openings and discharged from the intake hole of the tap, the chips are not scattered on the work piece, and thus a cleaning process of the work piece can be simplified.

摘要: A thread cutting insert for cutting threads includes a plurality of cutting teeth disposed along a cutting portion, each cutting tooth is provided with an allocated chip former, and the chip formers are provided on a rake face of the thread cutting insert. The shape of at least two cutting teeth is different from each other. At least one cutting tooth along the cutting portion is provided with an allocated chip former the shape of which is adapted to the shape of that cutting tooth which, with respect to an order of engagement during cutting operation, precedes the subsequent cutting tooth along the cutting portion such that the at least one chip former has a shape adapted to the cross-section of chips encountered by it. A set of at least two thread cutting inserts, a thread cutting tool and a method for cutting threads, are also provided.

摘要: A tap is designed in such a way that chips are aspirated and discharged forcibly so that the pollution of the environment can be prevented and the cleaning can be simplified. The tap includes an intake hole, and the intake hole includes openings. Accordingly, air intake is performed through the intake hole, so that the chips generated in the cutting can be aspirated from the openings forcibly. Therefore, because the chips can be discharged without using cutting fluids, pollution of the environment can be prevented. Further, because the chips can be aspirated from the openings, and the chips aspirated from the openings can be discharged from the intake hole of the tap, the chips are not scattered on the work piece, and thus a cleaning process of the work piece can be simplified.
