Abstract: A rotary hammer includes a tool body, a tool holder, a cylinder, and a coupling member. The tool holder has a tubular shape and a longitudinal axis. The tool holder is configured to hold a tool accessory to be movable along the longitudinal axis and is supported by the tool body to be rotatable around the longitudinal axis. The cylinder extends coaxially with the tool holder and is supported by the tool body to be rotatable around the longitudinal axis. Abstract: A power tool includes a motor having a rotatable motor shaft, a first intermediate shaft, and a second intermediate shaft extending in parallel to the first intermediate shaft. An output shaft removably holds a tool accessory and has a driving axis. A motion-converting mechanism converts rotation of the first intermediate shaft only into linear reciprocating motion and thereby hammers the tool accessory along the driving axis. A rotation-transmitting mechanism transmits rotation of the second intermediate shaft to the output shaft and thereby only rotationally drives the output shaft around the driving axis.

Abstract: A hammer drill includes a switch, an operation member, a lock member, a mode switching member and a linked member. The operation member is normally held in an OFF position and moves to an ON position in response to an external pressing operation. The lock member moves in response to an external operation between a locking position, where the lock member is capable of locking the operation member in the ON position, and a non-locking position, where the lock member is incapable of locking the operation member. The linked member moves to an allowing position for allowing a movement of the lock member when the mode switching member is switched to a switching position corresponding to a hammer mode, and moves to an inhibiting position for inhibiting the movement of the lock member when the mode switching member is switched to a switching position corresponding to a drill mode.

Abstract: A drill has a housing, a motor mounted in the housing having a drive spindle, an output spindle rotationally driven by the drive spindle via a torque clutch. The torque clutch slips when the torque across the torque clutch exceeds a predetermined value. The predetermined value of the torque at which the torque clutch starts to slip is adjustable via a torque threshold adjustment mechanism. A sleeve is rotatably mounted on the output spindle. The drive spindle drives the sleeve via a gear system at a same rate and direction as the output spindle so that there is no relative rotation between the sleeve and output spindle when the torque clutch is not slipping and at a different rate and/or direction so that there is relative rotation between the sleeve and output spindle when the torque clutch is slipping.

Abstract: A handheld power tool has a switchable gear component actuatable by a selector switch. The gear component moves from a first operating position into a second operating position. The selector switch has a first switching position associated with the first operating position and a second switching position associated with the second operating position, and movable so that intermediate positions are assumed. A traveling coupling between the selector switch and the gear component has a spring exerting force onto the gear component in the first direction. A locking bolt is coupled to the selector switch in a positively driven manner. In the intermediate positions, the locking bolt is moved into a blocking bolt position blocking movement of the gear component out of the first operating position into the second operating position. When the selector switch is in the second switching position, the locking bolt is in a releasing bolt position.

Abstract: A light single button multi-function electric hammer comprises a body, a motor, a rotation set assembly, a cylinder assembly, a torque spring, a knob, a gearwheel and a transmission mechanism of torque clutch. The transmission mechanism comprises a pinion, a gear clutch, a middle shaft, a hammer crosspiece clutch, a swing rod bearing and a primary gear. Abstract: When the mode change knob of a multi-mode hammer drill is moved to the hammer only position, an electronic sensor sends a signal to a control logic circuit. When the user then depresses the trigger mechanically closing the ON/OFF switch, the control logic circuit applies a voltage either to a holding relay or to the gate of a triac which enables the relay or triac to conduct, thus providing a parallel circuit by-passing the ON/OFF switch. Consequently, when the user releases the trigger and opens the ON/OFF switch, the parallel relay or triac maintains current flow to the motor. It can be seen that in hammer only mode the user can activate the hammer drill by simply tapping the trigger to depress it and does not need to hold down trigger during use of the hammer in operation.
