摘要： A bead core manufacturing apparatus (1) comprises an annular former (4) having an outer peripheral surface (40) on which a bead wire (w) is woundable into a bead core. The former (4) comprises a set of segments (41), which are divided circumferentially of the former, and which have radially outer surfaces collectively forming the outer peripheral surface (40). The segments (41) are movable in respective radial directions of the former so that the outer peripheral surface (40) has plural outside diameters, and a bead wire can be wound into plural kinds of bead cores having different inside diameters.

摘要： An apparatus for looping anchoring annular structures of a tyre for vehicle wheels, includes at least three looping drums. Each looping drum has a longitudinal axis thereof, with respect to which it is radially expandable/contractible in a manner so as to turn up the loop around an anchoring annular structure. The apparatus also includes a loop deposit station, a loading station configured for loading the anchoring annular structures on the looping drum and an unloading station configured for unloading the looped anchoring annular structures from the looping drum. The loop deposit station, loading station and unloading station are angularly offset from each other. A turret transfer apparatus supports the looping drums in positions angularly offset with respect to each other and is configured for transferring the looping drums between the loop deposit station, the loading station and the unloading station rotating around a vertically-arranged transfer axis.

The fibrous layer contains monoaxially drawn tape elements having a rectangular cross-section and at least a first layer having a draw ratio of at least about 5, a modulus of at least about 2 GPa, a density of at least 0.85 g/cm3. The first layer contains a polymer selected from the group consisting of polyamide, polyester, and co-polymers thereof. Methods of forming the reinforced rubber article are also disclosed.

The method further includes pressing the first rubber coating, the body fabric, the at least one insert, and the second rubber coating through the bite and then between the at least two calendering rollers to form a tire body ply. In another embodiment, the method includes spacing a first insert from a center of the tire body ply by a first distance and a second insert from the center of the tire body ply by a second distance.

摘要： A method and apparatus for applying a ribbon-like coating structure to the outer surface of a tire bead core. A bead core (2) is coaxially placed around a support drum (6) carrying an inflatable air bag (7) disposed in a deflated condition. Clasping sectors (14) circumferentially distributed in the drum are radially moved close to the inner surface of the bead core (2) to make a central portion of a ribbon-like coating structure (3) arranged about the inflatable air bag (7), adhere against the bead core itself. The air bag is inflated so as to form, on opposite axial sides relative to the bead core (2), two lobes (17, 18) each of them being enclosed between the outer surface of the drum (6) and a respective annular opposition bell (19, 20) coaxially encircling the drum. By axially moving the opposition bells (19, 20), a first and a second side flap of the coating structure (3) are applied to respective surfaces of the bead core (2). The second flap overlaps the first flap and is fastened thereto on the radially external surface of the bead core (2).

The apparatus and method are particularly useful when the wrapping material is to be applied directly over a lubricant coating on the bead ring. The apparatus includes a radially expansible drum, and an inflatable bladder that covers the drum and is interposed, along with the wrapping material, between the bead ring and the drum. According to the method of the invention, the bladder is inflated and rolled over in a desired sequence of steps to apply an envelope wrapping to the bead ring.

Each disc has an annular groove with one for encasing the core and the other for applying the base of the filler to the core.
