    摘要: The present disclosure concerns a jam detection and safety system for machines prone to jamming, such as a baler. In particular embodiments, the system is implemented in a horizontal baler having a shear bar and a hydraulic ram that advances material being baled past the shear bar into a compression chamber. The system includes a strain gage mounted on the shear bar and a controller that is electrically connected to the strain gage. The controller receives strain signals from the stage gage and compares the strain of the shear bar to a predetermined strain threshold corresponding to a jamming condition. If the strain exceeds the predetermined threshold, the controller automatically deactivates the ram, such as by disconnecting line power from the baler and/or by turning off the control power of the baler.

    摘要: The present disclosure concerns a jam detection and safety system for machines prone to jamming, such as a baler.     摘要: In a feeding mechanism 4 which reciprocates the feed arm 80 in a direction of transporting a lead frame, a movable body is linked via a second fulcrum 37 (movable fulcrum) with a rocking arm 30 which is pressingly contacted with a feed cam 11 and which rocks about a first fulcrum 31 (stationary fulcrum), rocking movement of the rocking arm 30 is converted into linear movement of the movable body which is directly coupled to reciprocal movement of the feed arm 80, and the distance between the first fulcrum 31 of the rocking arm 30 and the second fulcrum 37 is changed in the longitudinal direction of the rocking arm 30, thereby enabling a feed stroke of the feed arm 80 to be linearly changed.

    摘要: A power press in which a ram is driven towards and away from a press bed so that, in use, a work piece is deformed by a tool mounted between the ram and the press bed is provided with means by which a jam in the press can be released both quickly and simply, this release means comprising a layer of heat softenable rigid plastics material which is located in the press so that the direction of the press stroke is substantially normal to the layer and so that during a pressing operation the layer is subjected to compressive stress in the direction of press stroke, and electrical heating means located so that it is capable of heating the layer of plastics material, when desired, to a temperature sufficient for the plastics material to soften whereby, under compression in the direction of the press stroke, the thickness of the plastics layer decreases. Preferably the electrical heating means comprises an element which is embedded in a metal layer which fits face to face with the plastics layer, and is preferably sandwiched between two plastics layers, to form a spacer assembly which is fitted in the press, usually between the tool and the ram, or between the tool and the press bed.
