摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of incrementally stretching polymeric film formed from a blown film extrusion process. The present invention is further directed to a polymeric bag formed from an incrementally stretched polymeric film. The incremental stretching is performed on a collapsed polymeric bubble via a pair of intermeshing rollers. The incrementally stretched polymeric film may be stretched only along a portion of its width. The polymeric bag may be a drawstring trash bag with an extended hem where only the extended hem of the bag or the body of the bag comprises incrementally stretched polymeric film.

摘要: A bag machine, and method of making bags, has a sealing station a perforating station, and a downstream seal and perforation inspection station, or a perforation detection station and/or a seal inspection station is disclosed. Control of the perforating and sealing stations is preferably closed loop. The seal and perforation inspection station preferably includes a perforation detector that triggers a vision system and/or a camera, and the film is illuminated. Preferably, the inspection station is enclosed in an opaque housing, or the ambient light is otherwise blocked. The seal and perforation inspection station preferably provides an image output a display visible to a user. The vision system preferably includes a perforation location module and/or determines the distance between the seal and perforation. A downstream processing station can be provided, and can have a detected fault input, connected to a fault detect output from the seal and perforation inspection station.

摘要: A machine for producing self-opening envelopes includes a pair of laterally spaced sprocket chains transporting along a longitudinal path regularly spaced pairs of laterally spaced studs and an arm with a strip guide at an end thereof is oscillated to opposite sides of the advancing stud pairs and withdraws tear strip from a roll and interlaces the studs so that successive transverse tear strip sections which are interconnected at alternate ends are applied to the advancing studs by the guide. Adhesive is applied to the transverse tear strip sections and overlapping precut envelope blanks are superimposed on the advancing transverse tear strip sections with the flap, front panel delineating lines coinciding with the tear strip sections and the longitudinal tear strip sections are severed between their ends.
