摘要： A packet for smoking articles includes an outer container, substantially shaped as a parallelepiped having an open top end and a hinged lid, which can rotate between positions for opening and closing the, open top end and which is defined by a rear wail a front wall, two side walls and a top wall. One bottom edge of the front wall is integral with a reinforcement wall which is folded by 180° around the edge and which is positioned in abutment against the inside surface of the front wall. The reinforcement wail includes at least two panels which are integral with each other in pairs along folding lines of weakness and which can be inclined relative to each other around the lines of weakness to be positioned in abutment, at least, against the inside surface of the lid at the top wall.

The displacement includes a displaced portion displaced from the sheet of material in a thickness direction defined by a sheared face, the displaced portion further including a central portion extending along the bend line and opposing end portions at opposite ends of the central portion; and a stem portion interconnecting the displaced portion to the remainder of the sheet of material. The stem portion is located inwardly of the end portions and defined by opposing termini of the sheared face. In various aspects, the displacements are formed in opposite thickness directions and configured to promote bi-directional precision folding. Methods of forming and using the sheet of material are also described.

摘要： A three-dimensional support structure is provided and includes a single sheet of material that is folded into a repeating pattern of cells. Each of the cells is formed by first and second spaced-apart endwalls and first and second sloped sidewalls spanning between the endwalls. Each endwall comprises two plies of material while each sidewall comprises a single ply of material. The first and second sidewalls are adjoined at a folded edge. The cells are aligned such that the first endwall of one cell from the repeating pattern abuts the second endwall of an adjacent cell of the repeating pattern to form a four-ply wall of the material. A first liner may be attached to a first side of the folded material and a second liner may be attached to a second side of the folded material.

摘要： A folder includes a set feeder that by-passes the folder in-feed station. Sets of multiple sheets are directed directly to the folder processing station, such as a folder station. The set feeder comprises a guide mechanism that guides a set through a cover opening and along a lower guide to the input of the processing station. A sensing device senses the presence of the set and operates the processing station without operating the in-feed station. Alternately, a sensing device is not required, and the folder is operable to process sets using the set feeder by manually assuring that the in-feed station does not simultaneously propel any sheets to the processing station. The folder further comprises a telescoping stacker that holds the number of processed sheets equal to at least the number of sheets loaded at the in-feed station.

The vacuum bed includes at least two sections that are movable with respect to each other to accommodate cards of different widths. Each section of the vacuum bed further includes multiple suction cups, each of which is individually connected to a vacuum supply. The vacuum supply independently controls each suction cup so that vacuum can be applied to selected or all suction cups such that cards of different lengths can be accommodated. 摘要： The present invention is directed generally to a folder apparatus for sheets, and more particularly an improved knife folder. In an embodiment, the folder comprises an inducer which is repositionable between a first position and second position, and an idler roller. In the first position the idler roller and a fold roller form a nip. The inducer further comprises a blade adjacent to the idler roller. A first side of the blade and another fold roller define a portion of the feed path adjacent to the another fold roller. When the inducer is in a second position an auxiliary feed path is formed and the sheet may travel along the auxiliary feed path and subsequently be buckled by the blade when the inducer returns to the first position.
