摘要: A sheet laminator includes a sheet lamination device, a heater, and circuitry. The sheet lamination device performs a sheet laminating operation on an object by application of heat and pressure. The heater heats the sheet lamination device. The circuitry changes between a first mode in which the heater constantly heats the sheet lamination device while the sheet lamination device is turned on and a second mode in which the heater starts heating the sheet lamination device in response to a request of the sheet laminating operation and stops heating the sheet lamination device after a given time has elapsed from completion of the sheet laminating operation. The circuitry adjusts the given time in the second mode.

摘要: A laminating device inserts a sheet-shaped medium into a two-ply sheet in which two sheets are overlaid and partially bonded, and includes a loader, a fixing device, and control circuitry. The loader loads the sheet-shaped medium or a cleaning sheet. The fixing device laminates the two-ply sheet in which the sheet-shaped medium is sandwiched between the two sheets of the two-ply sheet. The control circuitry performs a cleaning mode of conveying a plurality of cleaning sheets from the loader to clean the fixing device. The cleaning mode is to convey a subsequent cleaning sheet of the plurality of cleaning sheets at a position different from a position of a preceding cleaning sheet of the plurality of cleaning sheets in a direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the plurality of cleaning sheets.

摘要: Improved pliable print rollers for high speed drink can printing machines increase the pliable roller life five- to ten-fold at comparable ink thickness and machine speed. The improved performance results from the selection of materials utilized including a combination of elastomers, and in some case an essentially oil-free composition, and an associated manufacturing process not previously utilized to create pliable print rollers for high speed drink can printing machines. In particular a particular embodiment, the composition includes a combination of elastomers (e.g., 75% polyisoprene and 25% polybutadiene), a filler (e.g., silica), a curing agent (e.g., peroxided), and other additives (e.g., pigment, antioxidant, antiozonant) with little or no oil added as a softener. An illustrative composition including 150 parts by weight contains 100 parts elastomer, 35 parts filler, 4 parts curing agent, and 11 parts other additives (i.e., zero parts oil softener).

摘要: The present invention relates to an inkjet recording element having good dye keeping properties in time, good image quality, as well as instant dryness. Said inkjet recording element comprises a porous polyester support and at least one ink-receiving layer, said ink-receiving layer comprising at least one aluminosilicate polymer obtainable by a preparation method consisting in treating an aluminum halide with a mixture of at least one silicon alkoxide only having hydrolyzable substituents and at least one silicon alkoxide having a non-hydrolyzable substituent, with an aqueous alkali in the presence of silanol groups, the aluminum concentration being maintained less than 0.3 mol/l, the Al/Si molar ratio being maintained between 1 and 3.6 and the alkali/Al molar ratio being maintained between 2.3 and 3; and then stirring the resulting mixture at ambient temperature in the presence of silanol groups for long enough to form the hybrid aluminosilicate polymer. In addition, the ink-receiving layer does not contain a binder.

摘要: A laminating kit and method for using the kit to perform lamination without a specialized hot-roller lamination machine is disclosed. The kit comprises a resilient board such as foamboard, a folded, release-coated paper to sandwich the lamination project above the resilient board, and an optional liner board attached at the bottom of the resilient board for additional stiffness. Items to be laminated are sandwiched in plastic lamination sheets and inserted between the two ends of the folded, release-coated paper. An iron is then drawn across the kit with its face at an angle to the kit and the bottom edge of the face contacting the kit. Pressure from the iron causes a depression to form in the resilient board, thereby duplicating the effect of heated rollers in a typical commercial lamination machine and resulting in a smooth, bubble-free lamination project.

摘要: A sheet laminator laminates a two-ply sheet and a sheet-shaped medium inserted in the two-ply sheet. The sheet laminator includes a sheet feeder, a multi-feeding detector, a fixing device, an ejection device, a purging portion, a passage switcher, and circuitry. The sheet feeder feeds the two-ply sheet. The multi-feeding detector detects multiple feeding of the two-ply sheet. The fixing device fixes the two-ply sheet by application of heat and pressure. The ejection device ejects the two-ply sheet that has been fixed by the fixing device. The purging portion is disposed at a position different from the ejection device. The passage switcher switches a conveyance passage of the two-ply sheet to the fixing device or to the purging portion. The circuitry conveys the two-ply sheet to the purging portion and retries sheet feeding with another two-ply sheet, in response to detection of multiple feeding of the two-ply sheet.

摘要: A sheet processing device includes a sheet storage and a sheet displacer. The sheet storage includes a first storage portion that includes a first wall that is one side wall of the sheet storage and a second wall that is part of another side wall of the sheet storage and a second storage portion that includes a third wall continuous to the first wall and the second wall. The sheet displacer displaces a preceding sheet stored in the sheet storage and contacts an upper end of the preceding sheet to displace the preceding sheet such that the upper end of the preceding sheet moves toward the third wall. The second wall and the third wall are coupled via a bent portion that bends in a manner such that a storage space of the second storage portion is greater than a storage space of the first storage portion.

摘要: A sheet processing device includes a conveyor, a rotator, a separator, and control circuitry. The conveyor conveys a sheet-shaped medium into a two-ply sheet in which two sheets are overlaid and partially bonded, and includes a drive roller and a driven roller. The rotator winds the two-ply sheet. The separator separates the two sheets of the two-ply sheet. The control circuitry causes the conveyor to convey the two-ply sheet in a winding direction to wind the two-ply sheet around the rotator to generate a space between the two sheets, and causes the separator to insert into the space between the two sheets to separate the two sheets. The drive roller and the rotator are disposed on a same side with respect to a sheet conveyance passage of the two-ply sheet, and the driven roller and the rotator are disposed on opposite sides with respect to the sheet conveyance passage.

摘要: Apparatus for converting a heat transfer labeller of the type which transports labels on a carrier web to a heat transfer site, to use as a film pressure sensitive labeller. Devices at and around the label transfer site are removed and replaced with a peel plate and label applicator for pressure transfer of labels. Idler rolls are added to the machine to guide the label carrier web from an unwind reel to the pressure transfer site, and from the transfer site to a take-up reel. A take-up drive is provided to pull and collect the web, providing adequate tension for dispensing film pressure sensitive labels. The take-up drive may comprise a controlled speed take-up motor at the take-up reel, or may comprise a label registration drive which supplements the pulling force provided by the take-up reel. Optionally, a substitute take-up reel with high torque drive may entirely replace the take-up mechanism of the heat transfer labelling machine.
