摘要： In some examples, an intaglio gravure printing press includes at least one gravure printing unit having at least one forme cylinder, at least one impression cylinder, at least one inking unit and/or at least one ink collecting cylinder. Additionally, at least one assigned inking unit, at least one print head, and at least one wiping device are arranged at the at least one forme cylinder. The wiping device is arranged along the direction of rotation of the forme cylinder, and downstream from the print head when the print head is arranged at the at least one forme cylinder. In addition, the wiping device is arranged along the direction of rotation of the forme cylinder, upstream from a contact region of the forme cylinder with the impression cylinder. Alternatively, in some examples, at least one print head is arranged at the at least one impression cylinder.

摘要： A contact printing system for printing X colors upon a web substrate is disclosed. The contact printing system comprises X-Y printing components where X and Y are whole numbers, 0 1. Each of the printing components comprises a gravure cylinder having a plurality of discrete gravure cells disposed within a surface thereof. A first portion of a fluid is displaceable into a first portion of discrete gravure cells from at least one channel extending from a position external to the gravure cylinder. A second portion of the fluid is displaceable into a second portion of the plurality of discrete gravure cells from the at last one channel. The gravure roll, including at least one channel and the plurality of discrete cells, is formed such that the gravure roll has a unibody construction and there are no moving parts interior to the gravure roll.

摘要： A gravure printing system is disclosed. A gravure cylinder having a first and a second plurality of discrete cells disposed upon an outer surface. A cell of the first plurality of discrete cells receives a first portion of a fluid from a first reservoir and a cell of the second plurality of discrete cells receives a second portion of the fluid from a second reservoir. The first and second portions of the fluid is fluidically displaceable into the respective first and second reservoirs through a discrete channel having a single entry point at a position external to the gravure cylinder, a first exit point into the first reservoir, and a second exit point into the second reservoir. The discrete channel provides fluid communication of the first and second portions of the fluid from the position external to the gravure cylinder to each of the respective first and second reservoirs.

摘要： An intaglio printing press includes, a rotary screen comprising a hollow cylinder, which has a small hole group for special ink supply formed in a circumferential surface of the hollow cylinder and which is supported rotatably, and a squeegee contacting an inner peripheral surface of the hollow cylinder, a rubber roller supported rotatably to oppose an outer peripheral surface of the hollow cylinder at a position where the squeegee contacts the inner peripheral surface of the hollow cylinder, and a sheet supplied with special ink, which has been stored within the hollow cylinder, by the squeegee via the small hole group of the hollow cylinder. The intaglio printing press further includes special ink guide means, such as guide grooves, for guiding a surplus of the special ink, which is not supplied to the sheet by the squeegee, to the small hole group of the hollow cylinder.
