Abstract:
A printing device including: a first conveyance path and a second conveyance path configured to conveying print media; a skew correction unit configured to correct skewing of the print medium conveyed along the first conveyance path; and a print unit configured to print on the print medium conveyed on the first conveyance path or the second conveyance path; the first conveyance path and the second conveyance path merging downstream of the skew correction unit; print media conveyed from the second conveyance path.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus performs skew correction by bringing a leading end of a conveyed sheet in contact with a registration roller pair being in a stopped state and by forming a first loop with a loop roller pair, and thereafter, refeeds the sheet to an image former by adjusting timing. In a case of feeding a sheet with a length equal to or longer than a prescribed length, after having formed the first loop, the image forming apparatus forms a second loop in a loop accommodator that is disposed on an upstream side than the loop roller pair and accommodates a formed loop.
Abstract:
A method for correcting the skew between the leading edge of a sheet of paper and the nip of a roller assembly in a printing mechanism includes the steps of advancing a sheet of paper into the nip and slightly therebeyond. The rollers are then rotated in reverse, causing the paper to retract from the roller assembly, with the angle and weight of the paper maintaining the leading edge within the nip. As the rollers continue to rotate backwards, the paper jiggles or dances allowing the leading edge to settle parallel with the nip under its own weight. The paper is then readvanced through the roller assembly with its leading edge parallel to the nip. A mechanism applies a drag force to the paper when the paper is being retracted from the roller assembly to keep the leading edge of the paper in the nip.A single motor control apparatus includes a processor-controlled drive motor, a drive roller assembly, a pick roller assembly and a gearing arrangement coupling the drive motor to the roller assemblies, for selective control of the timing, speed and rotational direction thereof to achieve the above described method.
Abstract:
The printer drives the sheet feeding mechanism in response to the initial sheet-setting command and both the first sensor's and the second sensor's detection of no sheet, first forward until the second sheet sensor detects no sheet, then backward until the second sheet sensor detects no sheet, and finally forward the predetermined distance. The paper is neither caught nor crumpled near the exit of the first sheet supplier when the paper is fed backward.
Abstract:
The aligner mechanism comprises first and second control sleeves keyed to end portions of a shaft. First and second levers are pivotally mounted on the shaft adjacent to the first and second control sleeves for movement between first and second positions. A pinch roller is rotatably mounted on the levers opposite a drive roller. The aligner mechanism also includes an aligner bar having a first leg portion and a second leg portion secured to the first and second control sleeves respectively, and an engaging portion joining the first and second leg portions. The first lever has a projection cooperating with a control member on the first control sleeve and the second lever has a projection cooperating with a control member on the second control sleeve so as to provide lost motion coupling to pivotally move the first and second levers from a first position to a second position. The aligner bar engages the first wall before the first and second levers are pivotally moved to the second position to introduce a bend in each of the first and second legs causing the engaging portion to be biased against the first wall before the first and second levers rotate to the second position. The projections also cooperate with the control member when a resilient element biases the shaft to the first position to enable the rollers to pinch the document before the engaging portion disengages the first wall.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of printing panel material (2) with a printed image, whereby the panel material (2) is moved from a feeding station (5) into a printing station (3), in which an image is applied and out of which it is fed onwards in the transport direction (4) by means of a conveyor system (18). The panel materials (2) to be printed are disposed immediately one after the other in rows (36-38) in the transport direction (4) at least in an inlet region (32) to the printing station (3) and are fed jointly through the printing station (3) during the printing operation, and the printed image is applied by means of an inkjet printing device (13).
