    摘要: A liquid circulation apparatus includes a main tank that stores a liquid, an upstream tank connectable to an upstream side of an inkjet head, a downstream tank connectable to a downstream side of the inkjet head, a pump configured to supply the liquid from the main tank at an amount larger than a sum of an amount of liquid passing through the inkjet head and an amount of liquid ejected from the inkjet head. The upstream tank includes a first upstream liquid chamber configured to be at a hydrostatic position higher than a nozzle of the inkjet head and connected to the pump, a second upstream liquid chamber configured to be connected to the inkjet head, and a third upstream liquid chamber connected to the main tank. The downstream tank includes a first downstream liquid chamber configured to be at a hydrostatic position lower than the nozzle.

A transmitting section and a checking section are formed in an upper surface, of the cover, under a condition that the cover is in the exposure position, the transmitting section configured to transmit information optically to a user of the liquid consuming apparatus and the checking section configured to prevent the liquid moving on a particular surface of the cover from arriving at the transmitting section.

    摘要: A recording apparatus includes a housing body, an opening/closing member, attached to the housing body via a pivot shaft so as to be capable of rotating freely, that covers the surface of the housing body on one side thereof, and an ink tank having an injection port for filling an ink holding chamber with ink used in recording. Here, the ink tank is disposed so that one end thereof is positioned within the housing body on the opposite side of the housing body as the side in which the pivot shaft is provided, and has a stepped shape including a step portion, the step portion being provided on a side of the ink tank that is further from the pivot shaft. The injection port is provided in the step portion, and when the opening/closing member is opened and the ink is to be filled.

The ink supply section includes: two outlet ports which are separated from each other in a first direction intersecting with a vertical direction and through which a first kind of ink among the plurality of kinds of inks is supplied toward the head section; and an air-trap chamber in communication with the two outlet ports. The air-trap chamber protrudes to one side of a second direction intersecting with the vertical direction and the first direction relative to the two outlet ports. A portion connecting the two outlet ports of the air-trap chamber has an arc shape in a plane containing the first direction and the second direction or a bent portion of the portion connecting the two outlet ports of the air-trap chamber has an obtuse angle in the plane.

According to the method, the charges of a printing medium are removed prior to printing, and an ink mist collecting unit having an electrode of a positive polarity is employed.
