摘要： Apparatus and method for assembling a non-rotating wheel cap. A bearing is seated in either an outer disk of an inner disk as a first assembly step. A weight is in the form of an arc between 90 and 110 degrees and resides in a pocket formed in the outer disk. An adapter disk is attachable to the inner disk to allow customizing for various wheel fitment. A center ornamental portion may be a custom part or may be cut from an original fixed wheel center cap is cut from the fixed center cap, and attached to the outer disk converting the fixed center cap to a non-rotating center cap.

摘要： An image board for a rotary wheel which is mounted on a rotary wheel of a vehicle and displays a stationary image regardless of the rotation of the rotary wheel, the image board including: a base plate which is uprightly arranged on the outer portion or the inside of a wheel frame provided on the rotary wheel and mounted to be independently rotatable with respect to the wheel frame, and on one side or both sides of which a predetermined image is arranged, the base plate including a chamber on which a space is formed to be extended along the circumferential direction with respect to a rotational axis; a main weight which is fixedly mounted on the bottom of the base plate and applies a load to the bottom of the base plate; and a compensation weight which moves within the space as the main weight rotates in any direction and applies a load to the main weight so that the main weight returns to the original position thereof, the compensation weight being arranged within the space.

摘要： The present invention relates to a non-rotating wheel cap which is inserted at the center of a wheel rim using fixtures; wherein such cap is used to display printed decorations; and wherein such decorations remain stationary in an upright position, while the rim is rotating. The preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cylindrical body with a bottom wall, an upper edge, a lower edge and an opening, a plurality of fixtures extending from the lower edge of the cylindrical body, a small pin extending vertically from a central axis of the bottom wall; a roller bearing, wherein such bearing is press-fitted into a crescent-shaped object, wherein one of the lateral surfaces of such semi-circular object is engraved with small cylindrical holes. A cylindrical housing is attached to such object to which a concaved circular sheet is attached. The cap of the present invention is also simple in design, since it needs only one roller bearing and includes no bolts or adhesives.

摘要： A method for producing a multi-piece vehicle wheel retention system comprising the steps of: (a) providing a wheel having a wheel disc defining and axis and an outboard facing wheel surface and including an outboard tire bead seat retaining flange; (b) providing a first outer wheel cover formed from a first material, the first outer wheel cover covering at least a portion of outboard tire bead seat retaining flange of the wheel disc; (c) providing a second inner wheel cover formed from a second material, the second inner wheel cover covering at least a substantial portion of the outboard facing wheel surface of the wheel disc, the second wheel cover including an outboard surface and an inboard surface; (d) securing the first outer wheel cover and the second inner wheel cover together by at least an interference fit therewith; and (e) non-permanently securing the assembled wheel covers of step (d) and the wheel to one another by a non-permanent mechanical attachment feature to produce the multi-piece vehicle wheel retention system.

摘要： A rim protection apparatus fitted around a periphery of a rim of a motor vehicle wheel is provided. The rim protection apparatus covers the circumferential edge of the rim. The apparatus has substantially planar circular protective ring and means for fitting the protective ring around the periphery of the rim. The protective ring has a front surface and a back surface, the back surface being coupled with the rim of the wheel when the apparatus is fitted around the periphery of the rim of the wheel, the front surface being a decorative surface accenting the color and appearance of the wheel. The protective ring is fitted around the periphery of the rim with an adhesive layer disposed on the back surface of the protective ring.

Bearing elements in the races support the wheel in free rotation. The skin elements may further include an extension disposable under a portion of the hub cap for retention of another end of the skin element by the hub cap.

摘要： A wheel and cladding includes a cladding having an outer decorative surface and an inner surface which faces a wheel to be covered. The cladding includes a plurality of openings for receiving wheel mounting lugs. Spaced from the openings are a plurality of spaced snap-locking tabs extending from the inner facing surface of the cladding toward the wheel to which the cladding is to be mounted. The wheel includes a generally circular relief cut or other recess extending around the central hub or in spaced relationship thereto and aligned with the spaced tabs of the cladding to snap-receive the cladding for holding it in place while adhesive applied to the wheel and/or cladding is cured to permanently bond the decorative cladding to the wheel.
