    Abstract: A wheeled vehicle, such as a tricycle includes a wheel and a disc mounted on the same axle so that the disc is free to rotate separately from the wheel. The disc includes a plurality of lighting elements substantially along a line formed by a radius of the disc. Each of the lighting elements is lit or unlit as the disc rotates according to the rotational position of the disc. In this manner the illusion of a pattern or picture is made when the disc is rotated at a sufficient speed. A drive mechanism, such as a traction wheel driven by the wheel connected by a belt to the hub of the disc, causes the disc to rotate at a rate that is a multiple greater than the rotation rate of the wheel.

    Abstract: A vehicle wheel spinner comprising a donut shaped housing having a front and back ring forming a cavity therein. The front ring has a series of apertures formed therein. A spinning ring is rotatably mounted within said cavity. Various visual effects are produced by providing on the surface of the spinning ring facing the front ring of said housing at least one section of a contrasting color to the remainder of the surface. When the spinning ring rotates the colors show through said aperture(s) during rotation of the spinning ring. The wheel spinner is attached to the vehicle wheel in a manner that the housing rotates with the wheel and the spinning ring rotates separately from the rotation of the housing and continues to rotate for a time after the wheel stops rotating.

    Abstract: A decorative lighting device, adapted to be installed onto wheel rim of vehicle, includes a telescopically fixing mechanism and a light-emitting assembly connected thereon. The light-emitting assembly includes a lid plate and a plurality of light-emitting units fixed thereto. The telescopically fixing mechanism includes a support seat, a clipping-and-abutting plate connected fixedly to the support seat, a plurality of telescopic links, one end of each of which is accommodated between and pivoted to the support seat and the clipping-and-abutting plate, and another end of each of which is wedged by being fixed in a central hole of the wheel ring when extended outwardly, and a rotating wheel pivoted to the support seat and capable of driving the telescopic links to make actions of shrinking inwardly or extending outwardly. Thereby, it is possible to simplify the manner of installing a decorative lighting device or a light-emitting assembly onto a wheel rim, without doing any machining process thereto.

    Abstract: An illuminating device installed on a truck's wheels includes a hubcap having a positioning base and at least one fixing base. The positioning base is provided with a chamber and two notches formed in its one side wall. The fixing base has a recess, a through hole bored in the recess to communicate with an outside of the hubcap, and two recessed slot. A generator is fixed at an inside center of the hubcap, provided with two conducting blades extending into the chamber of the positioning base. At least a light is fitted in the through hole of the hubcap and connected with the conducting blades by conducting lines. By means of rotation or vibration of the wheels, the generator can create electromotive force to supply the light with power to make rotary brilliant brightness so as to achieve a warning effect for traffic security.

    Abstract: The invention is a system to produce lighted patterns on hubcaps which lighted patterns correspond analogically to sound. Such sound sources are a radio, a CD player, a tape player, a DVD player, or a microphone. A transfer means, either wired or wireless, receive electronic impulses that represent sounds from music source. That transfer means carries the electronic impulses that corresponds analogically to sound to a color transformation device which control the various types of lights. The signals that control the various types of lights are transported either by wire or wireless to a receiver inside hubcaps or to a receiver which is external to the hubcaps. Such an external receiver light source projects various color sequences onto hubcaps. The light source controlled by receiver internal to the hub cap transfers such light by fiber optics or refractory (fresnal lens) materials to the surface of the hubcap. Likewise, the source of the light for the hubcaps may be a projector that focuses on outer surface of the hubcap. The special hubcaps can be attached and rotate at the same rate as the wheel, or may be free-wheeling type hubcaps. In an alternative embodiment of the invention the lights projected may be pictures from a camera or a DVD which pictures project onto the hubcaps. The external projector may be permanently attached or may be removable.
