    摘要: The invention relates to radial-type pneumatic vehicle tires comprising at least one carcass layer (3), a profiled tread (1), a two-layer belt (2), and a belt bandage (6) which covers the belt and which comprises bandage cords that run in the circumferential direction of the tire and consist of at least one thread made of a textile material. The belt bandage (6) has a central bandage part (7) and two lateral bandage parts (8), wherein the central bandage part (7) reaches laterally beyond the edges of the radially outer belt layer (2b), and the two lateral bandage parts (8) adjoin the central bandage part (7), cover the respective remaining edge portion of the two belt layers (2b), and run axially outside of the edges of the radially inner belt layer (2a) so as to contact a carcass layer (3) portion with a width of up to 15 mm. The bandage cord in the central bandage part (7) consists of a single thread, and the bandage cord in the lateral bandage parts (8) consists of two threads twisted together.

    摘要: The present invention provides a pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, which tire is capable of improving both stability in running straight at a relatively high speed and gripping properties in cornering at the same time. The pneumatic tire for a motorcycle, comprises: a dual layered slant belt 16L, 16U constituted of two cord-crossing layers in which cords of respective layers cross each other, the slant belt being disposed on the outer side in the tire radial direction of a carcass 14; an outermost belt layer 20 of which a cord angle with respect to the tire equatorial plane is no smaller than 70 degrees; and a “0 degree” belt 18 provided between the outermost belt layer 20 and the dual layered slant belt and having cords extending substantially in the tire circumferential direction. A first belt layer 16L on the inner side in the tire radial direction of the two layers 16L, 16U of the slant belt is divided into two in the tire widthwise direction and the resulting two divided portions are disposed at respective side portions in the tire widthwise direction of the tire. As a result, good stability in running straight at a relatively high speed is ensured by the tire center portion 10C and good gripping properties in cornering are ensured by the side portions 10SA, 10SB in the tire widthwise direction.

    摘要: A pneumatic tire 10 for use in aircraft landing applications is provided. The tire includes a breaker assembly 20, 20A, 20B having circumferentially extending layers of cord fabric and wear strips to enhance performance. In one embodiment, the wear strips are rubber and are provided as central portions 26, 44 of breaker layers 24, 40 with cord fabric extensions 30, 48 on either side. In a second embodiment, the wear strips are thin, narrow rubber strips 72 imposed between adjacent cord fabric breaker layers 56, 60, 64, 68. In a third embodiment, the wear strips are narrow cord fabric strips 92 imposed between adjacent cord fabric layers 80, 84, 88.

    摘要: Belted pneumatic tire having a reinforcing textile layer disposed between the tread and the carcass. The reinforcing textile layer can be transversely continuous or discontinuous across the crown region of the tire and extends into the shoulder areas. In the shoulder areas the reinforcement is a plural layer formed by a folding over of the textile. The tire may include a metallic breaker located above or below the textile reinforcement. The folded portion of the textile extends beyond the marginal edges by the metal breaker. The cords of either the textile or metal layers can be oriented at zero degrees to the equatorial plane of the tire. A pneumatic tyre is provided with a tread reinforcement extending over substantially the whole axial width of the tread and imparting to the tread a transverse rigidity which differs on opposite sides of the midcircumferential plane of the tyre. The reinforcement may comprise a number of superimposed plies of parallel cords. The number of plies may differ on opposite sides A 1 B 1 , B 1 C 1 of the midcircumferential plane X-X to provide the difference in transverse rigidity. Alternatively, the cords in the region A 1 B 1 may be of rayon while those in the region B 1 C 1 may be steel cables; or the angle made with the midcircumferential plane X-X by the cords of each ply may be larger in the region A 1 B 1 than in the region B 1 C 1 , thus providing the greater rigidity in the region B 1 C 1 . In a further embodiment, Fig. 7, a single ply of an elastomer tapers in radial thickness across the axial width of the tread to give greater rigidity in the region A 1 B 1 .
