    Abstract: A tire with improved performance in terms of grip on wet ground even when it is close to the legal wear limit. The tread comprises three layers of materials (M1, M2, M3), radially superposed: the layer (M1) is laid radially on the outside of the crown reinforcement. The layer (M2) is laid radially on the outside of the layer (M1), and the last layer (M3) intended to be in contact with the ground is laid radially on the outside of the layer (M2). The moduli of shear stiffness, G′M1), G′(M2), G′(M3), and the viscoelastic losses Tgδ(M1), Tgδ(M2), Tgδ (M3) of the materials of the layers satisfy the following relationships:



    G′(M1)/G′(M2) is within the range [7; 25];
    Tgδ (M2) and Tgδ (M3) are linked by the following relationship: (Tgδ (M2)−Tgδ (M3))/Tgδ (M2)≥30%
    Thickness of layer (M3)/Thickness of layer (M2) is within the range [3; 10].

    Abstract: A tread of a tire can include a cap layer and a base layer. A loss tangent of the cap layer at 30° C. may be not greater than 0.30, and a loss tangent of the base layer at 30° C. may be less than the loss tangent of the cap layer at 30° C. The base layer can be inward of a reference end of the tread in an axial direction A fixing layer can be between the cap layer and a carcass in a radial direction. A first end of the fixing layer can be outward of an end of the base layer in the axial direction, or a position of the first end of the fixing layer can coincide with a position of the end of the base layer in the axial direction. Adhesiveness of the fixing layer can be higher than adhesiveness of the cap layer.

    Abstract: In a first aspect, the present invention is directed to a tire comprising a belt portion and a tread portion radially outward of the belt portion, wherein the tread portion comprises a radially outer tread layer for contacting the road when driving and a radially inner tread layer arranged between the radially outer tread layer and the belt portion, wherein the radially outer tread layer comprises a first rubber composition having a first shear storage modulus G′1 and the radially inner tread layer comprises a second rubber composition having a second shear storage modulus G′2, wherein the second shear storage modulus G′2 is between 3 MPa and 9 MPa higher than the first shear storage modulus G′1, and wherein the first shear storage modulus G′1 ranges from 1 MPa to 3 MPa and the second shear storage modulus G′2 ranges from 4 MPa to 12 MPa.

    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to improve propulsion performance on a snow-covered road surface, and provided is a tire with a tread portion having a groove, wherein the cap rubber layer forming the tread portion contains 40 parts by mass or more and 80 parts by mass or less of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) having a styrene content of 25% by mass or less in 100 parts by mass of its rubber component, and 60 parts by mass or more of a filler with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and is formed from a rubber composition having a loss tangent 10° C. tan δ measured under the conditions of temperature of 10° C., frequency of 10 Hz, initial strain of 5%, and dynamic strain rate of 1% and in deformation mode; tensile of less than 0.28, and a glass transition temperature Tg (° C.) of −40° C. or lower; and the glass transition temperature Tg (° C.) and the depth G(mm) of the groove satisfy Tg≤−0.5×G−35.

    Abstract: Provided is a heavy duty tire having excellent chipping resistance during high-speed running. Included is a heavy duty tire including a tread portion, the tread portion including a shoulder region located axially outward from an axially outermost main longitudinal groove extending in a circumferential direction, the tread portion being provided with a tread rubber consisting of a multilayer structure including a cap rubber layer forming a tread outer surface and a radially innermost base rubber layer, the cap rubber layer in the shoulder region containing at least one rubber component including a polybutadiene rubber and a carbon black, the heavy duty tire satisfying the following relationships (1) to (3): (1) Tb/Tc ≤ 0.50; (2) Eb′/Ec′ ≤ 0.60; and (3) Bca/(Tb/Tc) ≥ 40 wherein Tc, Ec′, Tb, Eb′ and Bca are defined herein.
