    摘要： This application discloses a cargo vehicle body which is vertically expansible, having a fixed lower part or portion carried on a chassis and a vertically shiftable upper part or portion in spaced guided telescopic relationship with the lower portion, with elevating and guide means disposed in the space between the telescopic sides and, when desired, resilient or spring means to assist in supporting the upper portion at least in certain positions and latch means for assisting in holding the upper body portion in raised positions and releasable for lowering it. A plurality of lift, guide, spring, and latch means are provided on each side in an effective arrangement to promote smooth even balanced operation. A door is provided which is effective to close its opening in all adjusted positions of the body.

    摘要： The present invention provides a truck bed system with a plurality of powered actuators which can raise a raisable platform above the truck bed floor to create a second platform in addition to the truck bed floor surface. The additional or second truck bed platform allows the truck user to use the upper platform for carrying tools and other goods or materials, with the space between the truck bed floor and platform for storing or moving large flat items like lumber and plywood or drywall sheets without displacing or disturbing the contents stowed on the upper platform. The present invention also allows the upper platform to be used for stowing large items like lumber and plywood or drywall sheets, with the space between the truck bed floor and upper platform for carrying tools and other goods or materials. The present invention allows the space between the truck bed floor and the upper platform, when in a raised position, to be used as secure storage when the tailgate is locked. The plurality of actuators can be attached to the truck bed floor, the truck bed walls or integrated into the space within the truck bed side walls.

    摘要： A removable and raisable roof attached to four upright supports is mounted on an open bed trailer. Two supports are located on the left and right corners of the forward edge of the trailer; the other two supports are similarly located at the rear corners of the trailer. No side supports are necessary. Using elevating means within the supports, which can operate independently or in tandem, the front and/or rear portions of the roof can be raised and lowered separately. Using external attachable fixtures and ground mounted supports, each of the roof supports can be lifted from their mounted position on the trailer bed and the trailer driven out from under the supports and roof assembly, converting a covered van to a fully open van. If a fully enclosed trailer is desired, then tarpaulin, or other readily removable wall materials can be suspended from the roof and attached to the trailer bed.
