摘要： A mounting assembly for mounting a dashboard module to a body panel of a vehicle is disclosed. The dashboard module includes a blower unit, a cowl cross member, and a dashboard. At least one side bracket is provided on the cowl cross member, and spaced apart from the body panel by a gap. A nut assembly is mounted to the side bracket, and includes a guide block defining a hole. A bolt extends through the body panel and the side bracket, and is screwed into the hole of the guide block. The guide block is configured such that, upon screwing the bolt in a first direction into the hole, the guide block moves in an opposite direction along the bolt, into the gap.

摘要： An instrument panel section connectable to a retainer of a vehicle, the retainer includes locator holes disposed therein. The instrument panel section has a layer of foam and a skin. The foam has a first surface, a second surface, a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The skin has an exterior surface and an interior surface. The interior surface is bonded to the second surface. The skin is wrapped around and bonded to the first and second ends. Connecting protrusions for connecting and aligning the instrument panel section with respect to the retainer extend from the first surface adjacent the first end. The first surface is adhesively bondable to the retainer such that the connecting protrusion is receivable in one of the locator holes.

摘要： A meter cluster assembly including a bezel and a meter cluster body for an instrument panel. The bezel includes a finished surface on an aspect, with at least one tab and a plurality of interspaced fins on an opposite aspect. The fins are of sufficient dimensions to, in part, provide the structural integrity necessary to reduce the profile of the finished surface. The fins and tabs allow for seating of the bezel within a trench of the meter cluster body, thus framing the instrument panel. The meter cluster body is generally a wall bounding a space configured to accommodate meters. The meter cluster body includes a lip at the front edge of the wall. The lip may provide a tactile feature and may provide indicia on a visible surface, aiding installation of a clip disposed on a hidden surface of the meter cluster body.
